May 2nd was my birthday.
It’s another day and another birthday that I’ve been graced with because of God. The doctors said I would have brain damage because of my mother umbilical-cord was wrapped around my neck. As I grew up trying to fit in with the world I knew where I would be without God. I know the things I have done to others and bridges I have burned because of the selfish thoughts and decisions I had made. I was lost and all alone because i tried to cling to the culture. If I can leave anyone with some advice do not cling to the culture but cling to Christ. Before I was in my mothers womb God knew me and he marked me and he set me apart. No matter how much i tried to fit in with the world I knew I didn’t belong trying to follow the masses but to lead others to the Messiah. To me this is not just another birthday because at the age of 8 when Jesus came into my life at the altar with my hands raised and I said Jesus I love you come into me. With tears streaming down my face open, broken, and contrite God came in and gave me the Gift of his Holy Spirit. Then I was baptized in his loving, saving, and forgiving name of Jesus Christ). When you are born again you are truly born again. It doesn’t mean that you will not face test, trials, and struggles but it means who do you rely on, trust, and love. Some rely on people, places, and things but I rely on the Savior of the world who saved me from me. Everyday Jesus has interceded and intervened on my behalf to correct, check, console, and conflict me when it seemed like I was to far gone from him but he was always by my side. That’s the love of a Father that no man in match. Thank you Jesus the Almighty God for being my Father. I can call on your name and you answer and to know you always surround me and I have you within me. Thank you Jesus for another birthday.
I'm so helpless and I feel like I may know some things. Lord please help me in understanding the narrow path. I don't know what to do but just to believe in your son Jesus.
