He looks much younger than Leonardo! Placing that aside. I’ve been rehearsing
for 8 days - getting ready to record vocals for a song I’ve been sent by a European
producer / writer. In the hook there are two notes in my upper range that I can hit
but I’ve hated the way they sound. It’s taking detective work and no sleep but it
came to me today, maybe it’s the vowel sounds? Then I found your video about
the dreaded ‘I’ vowel. My song has I and why as first lines in the hook! I’d like to
say thank you posting. Mystery solved and my singing self-esteem can go back to
    normal! God bless.

    When you sang Creep.
I couldn't clearly tell the difference between Mix and belt.
They both sounded the same in terms of vocal compression.
The only difference i could spot was that the mix had nasal resonance, while the belt had more mouth resonance?

    • @demondrerandolph2021
      @demondrerandolph2021 4 года назад

Actually, it's the feeling that made it beautifully better. And he's saying how to make it feel better when attempting to sing beautiful and any register. Its supposed to sound similar, i think that's the point.

  • @thanhnhancao9707

VOcal Compression, going through the whole range and putting all the notes where they're supposed to be, slayed the depressing demon called "Forcing Resonance". All the credit goes to the great Justin Stoney

If I do all in chest my volume is inconsistent and my larynx goes up.

I have been wondering, how many singers do those intentional, controlled voice cracks (or whatever they're called? It sounds like suddenly going from a solid note to a fading falsetto or something?), often towards the end of a longer note... That's probably not a priority to learn, but it bugs me how sooo many singers do that (even ones whose skill level doesn't seem extremely high), and I have no clue how to even get started attempting that. Maybe something for a future episode?
Btw, your vocal lessons here are beyond comparison! I've tried to watch other vocal lessons, but they never come close to the insight and clarity of yours - I mean, you just explain things so well, in a way that makes perfect sense, while others give more vague (and sometimes not even convincing) advise!

    Hello, sir

I saw this lesson video and I got a question.
I hear the sounds of Mix and Belt sound alike
Can you tell me what the key difference is between these two?
So have a happy day, and always thank you!
