Some stuff I want to add. -Diane does struggle against high hp enemy but it’s possible to kill them. Back when she was just released, the champion of origin server use a team with 6 support (including Stella) to make sure Diane kills everything she touched. As for the main units Diane would get stuck on, there are Glacia, Scrime and Ledakrad(with Arwen). If your Diane isn’t fully loaded like the one that champion used she will also struggle on units like Gran, Frellea and Sier but I won’t recommend you to block Diane with them if you see her in guild war. I’ve seen 500k hp Frellea die in 2 shot from Diane before. -Venus can actually work with other units in warrior team other than Diane. Some notable examples are Lakshmi, Edin and Asmode. She also works well with Sylphid spellcard. And she does 55000 damage maximum to ally unit so unit with more hp (like Lakshmi) can survive. One caution when using her is that countering enemy’s spell card becomes more important because they might waste 2 of your units instead of one. Consider using tank Iselok to bait Gungnir/Siren and try to have Venus goes at turn 6 or later to counter Vulcan. -Wilhelmina can be combo with Sylphid + Venus + Helena which results in 4 turns during the opening and 12 additional turns (maximum. Doesn’t happen often tho) at the end of the round. Too bad this is too easily counterable but it’s worth mentioning. -Scrime has some instance when he do a better job tanking than Eda and that’s when he tank a Stella buffed Diane. Especially good if that Diane is also buffed by Venus. Also he does better against Orochi spellcard than Eda but I still prefer using a tank that can buff over a tank that can do damage. -Kang is usually bad because he’s buff reliant and your support (merry/delsa) doesn’t buff defender. If you’re buffing him and put him in front tile where he can’t be hit by Agni and Lakshmi he might be worth considering. -Barbara is one of the most consistent Lain killer. Doesn’t means that you should use her but if you have nothing else that can kill 100k hp Lain (those are fully built with maxed soul gear and insignia) you might have to consider her. Especially when that Lain is also buffed by Eda. Other than that, she also kill Gran and Ledakrad I guess?
Dont forget that the Death Guard from Merry White is also a reliable way to counter Agni's DoT (provided you survive the initial attack). That, and Delsa also provides Guaranteed crits along with a high crit damage and attack boost (if built for high defence), something that Merry White only does for crit damage and attack. I tend to run the two together to cover each other's weakness when it comes to support, and it's been working like a charm! Use with Iselok for -3 warriors for the Delsa skill requirements, and any support that applies Immortal to keep the warriors in the fight longer (Eindolin and Ryke, the new Exalted, being great examples for this), and your warrior team lasts alot longer than it really should😅

This is because those 2 are mythic mercenaries, so rather than having a fixed set like every other mercenary in the game, their skill set is random. That is why we refer to Isleok as ESV Isleok and Eda as AoG Eda, its just an abbreviation of one of their critical skills. Also, since a mythic can have 3 random skills, the reason why we only mention ESV or AoG is because thats their critical skill, and the rest are usually the same across different variations of Isleok or Eda. For example, and Isleok can have 3 main variations: - Evil Sword Vanvar(ESV) + Debuff Immunity + Armor Slash = ESV Isleok - Return of the King(RoTK) + Debuff Immunity + Armor Slash = RoTK Isleok - Holy Sword Vanvar(HSV) + Debuff Immunity + Armor Slash = HSV Isleok You can see that in all these 3 variations, the only skill that changes is the 1st one as it is the most important one, so that is why we refer to a mercenary as ESV Isleok or RoTK Isleok and such. Same reasoning goes for AoG Eda. @@migueleduave6149 Agni is actually an HP scaling mercenary. So the best runes to run on her is 1 Flat HP rune + 1 HP% rune. Her mythic rune should be HP%/Flat HP + Penetration, with a substat of HP%/Flat HP.
In short, the best exalted mercs are: 1) Ryde 2) Ragares or Fabian 3) Dione or Ulfin 4) Pyran - Ryde is simply really good due to her bestowing an incredibly strong immortality buff, which pretty much is invincibility. - Ragares is good to counter Ryde + provide pretty valuable HP Consumption attacks to allies to counter HP Restraint enemies. Fabian is equal in strength to Ragares due to his counterattack ability as well as generally high damage + self-sufficient utility of Heal Ban and Buff Removal - Dione and Ulfin are also about equal in power and still very strong, they both just hit very hard and have attacks that are quite difficult to avoid if planned out accordingly, but equally very easy to avoid if the enemy plans for it. - And lastly, Pyran is decent due to his Super Taunt bestowing him with actual invincibility, but the problem with Pyran is that it gets removed so easily and even though he gains invincibility after he loses his taunt, its still not enough to warrant using him over other more reliable tanks(like Lucius, Lain, AoG Eda or other HP Restraint mercs)

Delsahine's aura cannot be removed by a nullifier. This is because nullifiers only remove buffs that were gained DURING the battle. Therefore, unless otherwise stated in the "Exceptions" part of the skill, buffs that are classified as 'Before Battle' or 'When the Battle Begins' cannot be removed via nullifier nor duration cut.
I would however there isn't really a defender centered team per say(or atleast a viable one in high elo). It's just like using supports, you wouldn't use an entire team of mostly supports just like how you wouldn't make an entire team of mostly defenders. Defenders really ONLY work as a supporting role for any given team due to their extremely low kill power. So in short, I won't be making a defender centered team tier list because its not a viable team for high elo nor do I recommend it for new players to build. Don't feel bad though, I tried to make it work with Stella+Crocell, its just their kill power is too low.
I'll make one as soon as the new jumpstart releases i think in late April. Though it possibly can get outdated somewhat fast due to mercs constantly shifting on viability. Nonetheless, il make one.
For a warrior team in arena, yes. In guildwar its different, but in arena is honestly better to run an HP restraint tank like AoG Eda or Lucius as they most of the time won't get oneshot. You can run Lain though, he's still not a bad option if you got him.

Venus also works well with Agni to kill Lucious, and any other unit. Agni also doesn’t take dmg from Venus at all.

ESV Iselok and AoG Eda refers to a specific skill set of those mercenaries. This is because those 2 are mythic mercenaries, so rather than having a fixed set like every other mercenary in the game, their skill set is random. That is why we refer to Isleok as ESV Isleok and Eda as AoG Eda, its just an abbreviation of one of their critical skills.

Imo he's not bad. You don't need him in a team to climb super high in arena, but if u want to get him, 100% do it.
