Whoa, it is not easy to find quality video from this era of the band. Might be the first time I have seen footage of Rantala playing, I thought he left the band pretty quickly after Elegy was recorded. But you can see pretty clearly why he didn't quite fit! Pasi looks like he has aged 15 years since the band photo on the Elegy record. Listen to Pekka hammer that kit though, wow. No disrespect to Snoopy but totally a different vibe vs when you see the band play these songs today. But the band overall sounds way beefier as well. Maybe its because their live sound is so pristine these days (or because they are 50 years old!) but killer performance captured here despite all the technical glitches and sloppy playing.
Which vocalist are you referring to? Tomi K(he's doing growls here) was the original singer. The guy here singing is Pasi Koskinen. He was their vocalist for years til he moved on in 2004...then came Tomi Joutsen...who's still with them today.

I really wonder why Pasi didn't do the growled vocals on these songs since he was perfectly capable and would take on those duties in later years.
