I love that you are able to get customers on big fish. That's great. Lots of us know there are big fish in the bayou, and that they can be caught, but seeing you actually able to get them on some good ones, knowing that got them a good experience, that's great. Keep up the hard work!

Man i miss exploring all the bayous in houston. People dont understand the monsters and unusual fish you can find in houston waterways. I used to go under the bridge at dairy ashford and youd see the 7ft plus gars surfacing. Great to see you still out there having success man. Fellas if youre interested in catching a monster in houston Alex is the guy to get ahold of.

I've lost count of the nets lol but what I do know is that Fitec nets last way longer than any other brand, and they're the ones that have lasted me years.

R there a lot of bass in Buffalo bayou and what could I start catch them with if so? Just moved form Florida totally different kinds of waters here, and Buffalo is muddy.
@danieldemarra337 not a ton of bass but they're there. I normally find them sitting over piles of crushed concrete and around old dock pilings.
Not really. The good thing though is, like Florida, houston got tons and tons of ponds to hop that have monster bass

Sorry champ unfortunately there aren't any public ramps in Houston. They're all owned by the city government but not open to the public. We can only achieve this with a private contract.

How do you like the Denali rods for gar fishing? I'm looking for a replacement rod for gar/sharks from Okuma.
Hey Champ! The Denalis have worked well although we will likely be switching over to Catch The Fever rods for the charter, mainly HellCat rods. Ive tried them out this past week and they are solid!
@@BayouChamps are you testing the striper rod or the big cat rods? I've been through a lot of rods. The Okuma's eyes are crap. I've replaced dozens and have broken 4 rods. I'm looking for a study but light spinning rod that can handle up to 150 lbs alligator gar, big bull reds and medium sharks out of a boat. I use 8000 series bait runners.
I have the Hellcat Extra Heavy model on board right now which is what I'm testing out. It's been handling the gator gar extremely well!

In Texas gaint alligator gar are considered trophies..and gar is good to eat. Buy I'm glad he released them ,because gar live a very long time the ones he caught where probably over 40yrs old ,the really big ones are around 75yrs old .the ones that are 4 or 6' long..

Do they really need to pump it like that or cant you just reel in steady?
They really do! Gator Gar are not very easy to catch, we gotta make sure that hook makes contact.
Gar's have a very hard boney mouth, you have to set the hook hard.

Our charter has a contract with a manufacturing company that lets us launch the boat from their property.
