I heard that in that coup d'état
in the Seychelles Islands was one guy from yugoslavia / slovenia but after that he disaper. Grandmothe told me that, that nacional security was looking for him.

Ho appena letto il libro che racconta le vicende di TULLIO MONETA ,all epoca, Capitano del 5° Commando di Mike Hoare.
TULLIO MONETA, purtroppo, è morto circa 2 mesi fa. Era tornato nella Città da cui parti ' ,negli anni 50 e che lo portarono in Africa . Nel libro si raccontano anche gli Eventi del Tentato GOLPE alle Seychelles.

I would have been interested but besides the book being available only in Italian it has, acc. to Amazon, only 144 pages. That seems ridiculous considering the subjects at hand,, you know Congo, Seychellois affair, prison time, acting career...

@@tazzinasellout7968 I don't know why you get animated like that. Basically I thanked you for letting me know the book existed but like I stated it's too short for my taste so I'll skip it. That's all my comment was about.You read something in there that isn't there.
I also read some of Hoare's books. Read "Congo Mercenary", "Seychelles Affair" and "The Road to Kalamata". While doing research on the Seychelles coup attempt I found that at least 5 (!) of the people involved wrote books about the fiasco. I'll skip those but plan on reading I. Smith's book, one of Hoare's mercenaries, it's reportedly a critical account hence I'm interested in the other side of the story too. There's a book from one of the nun's who was freed, it's called "Captive of the Simbas". I might read it too but it's likely a bit heavy on the religious side I guess.
Atm I'm reading Chris Cocks "Fireforce", an account from the Rhodesian bush war.

@@TheMundusvultdecipi I reread all the comments and I think I enjoy an apology. you should know that I am not a native English speaker and sometimes, in translation, the meaning and spirit of the writer gets lost and misunderstandings are created. however in the end this discussion introduced me to another couple of BOOKS ON THE SUBJECT, which I did not know before. unfortunately you tube does not allow an automatic translation and since my English is a bit rusty, ........ a greeting and I hope that, at least this comment was able to write it better.

Allegedly, some brits and South Africans attempted a coup, which failed. They then Allegedly forced a plane to land, which they escaped in to South Africa, minus those killed or taken prisoner by the communists, who executed the prisoners. Mike Hoare was the leader, he was behind everything. No other groups were involved. For example, the CIA were not, despite claims by conspiracy theorists.
