Hello JayPrehistoricPets that female Green Anaconda is absolutely a beauty for a snake. The size of her muscle is incredible. As a Self Taught Zoologist & Animal Behaviourist I’ve always been admired by your collection of large Snakes.
One thing I absolutely admire here, all of his animals, especially the crocs look incredibly healthy and well looked after. Unlike a certain other ‘big’ reptile RUclipsr...
Its crazy how small his anaconda and Pythons are when you compare them to the monsters in the wild. If youve ever seen the video of the Green Anaconda that eats the Capybara then youll know just how massive they can get. Unless that was just magical work with a camera, Id love to hear from Jay, if hes seen that video, and if that Anaconda is really that massive
Hi Jay So nice to see you and Brian. That was a wonderful place. The snakes were over fed. Loved all the turtles. My favorite was Bevis and Butt head. Cindy
That was honestly the most morbidly obese reticulated python ive ever seen. Not the longest ive seen, but the most morbidly obese. Retics only get flat when they lose muscle tone as their fat displaces their muscle. One of the retics was not quite morbidly obese, but still overweight. The larger retic and the burm were stupidly overweight though. The anaconda is the healthiest snake here tbh. You can see her body is nice and round and not flattening under her own weight. This is the same place that had a burmese python named "baby" that weighed over 400lbs. I visited her back when she was alive and it was a pretty sad sight. Shes dead now, obviously.
Seeing an anaconda on dry land like that disturbs me, knowing that they prefer to spend more time in the water due to their size and weight. These are heavy weightlifters... they need water for comfort. Here in Zoo Miami, they have the massive snakes in clear water and have some areas in the enclosure where they can rest both on land and water at the same time. Here they really put a lot of effort to make it close to the actual environment.
It’s kinda ridiculous how people in the comments think they know more than the guy who is clearly a PROFESSIONAL and has been doing this his entire life
Ikr I've been a MJ fan ever since I was lil girl in Germany 🇩🇪 I didn't understand what the hell he was singing about, but hell that is true unconditional love from the start. I've never got a chance to meet him in person 😢 😿 😭 but I was able to see him performing live in Munich Germany 🇩🇪 3 times and it was magical ✨ 💙 ❤ I'll always cherish that time and my kiddos cried when he passed away cause they weren't able to see him perform live anymore 💔 I cried 😢 and was depressed for almost a whole year and my dad died 2 weeks after MJ died, so it was a double tragedy for me. Much love and hugs 🤗 ❤ to everyone who reads this novel lol
A little overfed, not exactly all that much. What people must understand is that we can't judge all animals by human standards. A normal *healthy* female adult burm is supposed to look (almost) like that, they put on a lot of weight because nature intended it that way. She should still be a bit slimmer, but not all that much. A retic looking like that, *yes,* would be extremelly obese.
Is the yellow (or is it Albino?) Burmese pregnant or did it just get finished eating?? I mean, I'm not an expert, but It just seemed a bit larger than it should be. Maybe it's just me. . .
Surely the anaconda would be technically considered obese?? Where do we draw the line between huge anaconda and morbidly obese anaconda. Without a doubt it is beauuuuutiful though. I'd love to visit these places. It looks like the animals are all happy and healthy.
The green anaconda was the least obese snake here. She was still round and not collapsing under her own weight like some of the other snakes. The burmese python and the larger of the 2 reticulated pythons for example were MORBIDLY obese. Notice how they look flat. Thats what happens as they lose muscle tone and their muscle is replaced by fat. They literally just start collapsing under their own weight. Ive literally never seen a more overweight retic in my life, and the only more obese burm ive ever seen was a 400lb burm named Baby who came from this exact same facility. Not a fan of serpant safari. Their anaconda though does seem relatively healthy. Shes still very very round and tall. Partially because shes built for more girth than retics are. Retics are honestly just incredibly good eaters. They are easy to make obese because they basically never turn down food unless they are nervous about something.
@@jesswise8680 Green anaconda are big, but the truth is that they are more like the 3rd heaviest snake in the world and much further down the list when it comes to length alone. Burmese pythons and reticulated pythons can both potentially grow both longer and heavier than even the largest green anaconda. Ive seen burmese and reticulated pythons over 400lbs in person, but ive yet to see a green anaconda over 300lbs, even in video. Green anaconda are far less common, but still, its extreeeemely rare to see green anaconda who are even over 15ft and 200lbs even when you do see them. On the other hand, I could get in my car pet a 250lb burm 15 minutes from now if i wanted too, because its so much easier to find huge burms than anaconda.
Could be a side bet before the snake nerd videos. Living the dream Frickin awesome... Few catchphrases. Or the at home drinking game one drink everytime they say it?

Don't snakes get creases down their sides like rolls of fat when they're over weight?

if the reptile likes water it should get an enclosure that has a pool or something because some reptile can not live without water
