    I matched the colors exactly to the new home footage that was found. I apologize for the extreme interlace but that was the highest quality footage I found.
    enjoy!

      Absolutely. I was a working musician for 25 years and I can’t imagine having no monitors, never mind the entire audience screaming at the top of their lungs. To pitch the vocals that well is truly incredible. John in this clip wouldn’t have been able to hear anything other than his own guitar and a bit of Ringo.

    • @Tony-yp7ok
      @Tony-yp7ok Месяц назад +11

      @@johnarnold893 They would hear their own amp behind them, but that just has guitar in it… that’s about all they’d hear. A cranked up AC30/AC100 is pretty deafening and John wouldn’t have been able to hear the other guys’ guitars very well as his own amp would be drowning them out. The vocal mics would be in the PA system. The PA speakers would have been positioned in front of them (to avoid feedback), pointing towards the audience. Trust me, in that situation you can’t hear yourself sing at all, which makes it very difficult to pitch well. The sound for performers on stage (even today) is completely different to what the audience hears.

All other videos showing live performance don’t measure up to this one. The comments from some about there not being a pa for vocals/ mix have never played live. 2 nd guessing 60 yrs after the fact.

    I used to sing this one in a country band I played with around 2000-2001. Gave me an excuse to bring my 12-string. The other 12-string tune I sang with them was Hotel California-the rest of the time, on a four-hour+ gig I played a Telecaster.

      GTV 9 made a feature of these international tours right through to the 1970s. Their live production skills at the time, honed on doing 5 nights of live variety with In Melbourne Tonight was the best in the world and years ahead of it's time.
      Sadly today, they only do cheap panel shows and awful "reality TV" rubbish.

    Lucky me I was there. Even better I was in the front row, only a couple of metres from Paul and George. Couldn't hear much, apart from girls screaming, who if they are still alive might be enjoying being Grandparents, as I am. Yeah unbelievable performance, that unfortunately was over too soon...😮

    This is right here is why I love these guys.
    Where are the bands that Rock in Britain I guess yeah it's true but they play rhythm and blues or some type of rhythmic bass Rock but these guys play rock and roll, I got to admit you know I was always loving to play with my acoustic guitar the rhythm blues but when it comes electric I want to hear Rock enroll inspired music, .
    Something that no one else was able to do they actually had songs that brought people spirits up high.
    What's the hardest thing to happen to sustain is that piece in their bag that they always go to because they knew how to put music into have an accompaniment of sounds in notes and frequencies that made you feel exactly what they were saying and only people in orchestrations of some of the greats orchestra movements 😊days of Bach Beethoven Tchaikovsky.
    Is it have music and words in the synergy that makes you feel exactly what you're hearing.

    My recollection was that Ringo got tonsillitis on the Australian tour and the Beatles had to employ a stand-in drummer. And yet, on this clip, Ringo is the drummer. Perhaps this was before he became ill? There was a kiddies rhyme at the time - to the tune of Twinkle, twinkle, little star: Ringo, Ringo, Ringo Starr stuck his tonsils in a jar. Opened them up to,give them some air. They jumped out and sang “Yeah,yeah, yeah!” Who else remembers it?
