I have never encountered such an Angry Neighbor while trying to help with Overgrown Lawns. I was in the area and decided to surprise this family by stopping by to finish their yard. I stopped and knocked at the door but no one answers and I noticed the neighbors were having a large party.
After this, I unloaded the equipment and headed to the back yard and started cleaning it up. After the first couple stumps, my son noticed the Angry Husband next door walking towards me and he was extremely angry...

Definitely this before you go back to the neighborhood. Most local cops are willing to go out and have a conversation with their constituents. I know most of our local cops and they are more than happy to just say hi and explain the rules before things go sideways.

Where I live you are allowed to do yard work from 7AM to 9PM weekdays and 9AM to 9PM weekends. That party with the very loud music could have also contributed to the crying baby. 🙄

My Dad got to drive a bunch of Marines around. Drove them from ships to the shores of Iwo Jima and Okinawa on an LCT and he would unload and go get more, over and over and over again. Thanks for your service.

As a Marine Corps veteran... first and foremost, thank you for what you're doing. As for the neighbor, thinking veterans receive handouts.... he's probably spent every holiday with his family. Never stood watch in the rain on Christmas Day. Had Thanksgiving in the desert. We've earned whatever benefits we receive.
Also, his music is what's keeping the baby up, not your work!

I'm not a vet but, my father was a WWII Army vet who served in the South Pacific. Whatever benefits he received or any vet receives is damn well not a hand out. That guy is an entitled POS, for what he said. Our vets don't receive near the amount of help they should.
Apparently HE can't help HIS OWN WIFE if she had to ask YOU THREE TIMES to help her. He is a DISGRACE.

Call the cops even at this late date. The guy might be nuts and make good on his threats. Ignoring a bully never makes him go away, only come back as he sees you as pushover.
If you go back to help these elders again, I'd contact the police station, and ask how they can help you get your job done without this crazy guy making threats. I can tell you that man is beyond loosing his marbles, I believe he is purely unstable.

In my N. Idaho neighborhood folks help each other. I've never heard anyone complain about someone else receiving help with difficult tasks. Especially elderly or veterans. They deserve our thanks and respect. I'm proud that you held your cool when that man threatened to return with a bat. You're showing your son the way a real man should act.

It’s unbelievable how jealous that man is. You are very respectful and would never do anything to provoke someone. If he continues to harass you, I would go down to the police station and ask if they could keep an eye on that neighborhood when you are working because of his behavior. You’re not only doing that family a favor working on the yard, but you are also improving the neighborhood.

You do jobs that you think are worthy candidates- your business your choice. They are just moaning about nothing- yes the noise is annoying but if don’t tip toe around when a child sleeping ( ie use washing machine use hoover) then child will go to sleep with or without noise. I would have a conversation with the police and ask them about your rights. And drop a line to the police that your concerns are about the veterans welfare. If the Karen's are this rude with you how are they treating the veteran ? I sure wouldn't help them after all their complaints!

I'm a veteran too, and can honestly say, I have NEVER gotten a handout from the government for anything. That angry karen and his wife are just miserable people and the only way they find any joy at all is by making others just as miserable. As a Army Engineer non combat reserve Army Vet I was ticked off with what he said about our vets
@@alphonsotate2982 I was ticked off because my dad is a vet (three tours of Vietnam), my grandfather was a vet (WW II Omaha Beach landing, Korea War) and my friends are vets (Desert Shield/Storm, Operation Iraqi Freedom, Operation Enduring Freedom and many more….. he has no clue what a person goes through when they sign up to give their life for their country……
Our Vets deserve more than we could ever pay. But the dill holes in DC would rather send Trillions to Ukraine and keep the borders wide open.
@@alphonsotate2982 I have respect for any Vet, no matter what job they had as long as they served honorably. Somebody has to deliver the goods for combat arms service members to do their jobs.
My dad was a veteran but don’t have military experience. I respect what soldiers do even when I disagree with government. But, to ever say veterans get handouts is beyond reprehensible. These soldiers worked for the government, gave up choices and followed orders. We owe them. That dude who can walk his sorry ass over to say “my wife your help. Why don’t you help us?” Is so pathetic.
