The way to get that load of steel out is to wrap the strap around forks and steel then ratchet it tight. Barely lift then you pull van forward and the other forklift gets under from the side and once they have a a good hold you pull all of the way out from under it.
Good stuff man. I use to run out there 3 times a week. A few years ago from here in San Diego.. On the US side its Calexico. On the Mexico side its Mexicali. Keep up the content. Makes me want to jump back in.
Thats why when booking ANY load you understand what the load is and the requirements... Thats why its important to have a good broker/dispatcher... Also always get everything in writing to cover yourself for extra pay.

I average about 17miles per gallon.. unless I have a load 2000 plus pounds then its hit or miss..
