My name is Brandon. I am a sprinter van / cargo van expeditor. I drive a 2020 Mercedes Benz sprinter van 2500 170 extended with a high roof for a small mom and pop logistics company. I bring my dog Bubba Jo with me and we hit the road for 4+ weeks at a time. Everyday my dispatcher goes on load boards and bids on jobs. I’m always hauling something different for a random company to a random location that can be right down the road or clear across the United States of America! I average 3-5k miles a week and don’t need a CDL license to drive.
On this episode we are hauling shelving and fixtures for a Puma outlet store. Starting our road trip in Richmond Virginia and driving 2527 miles west to Cabazon California. Along the way we see a crazy car accident but luckily the GPS helped us avoid traffic. We also stopped at a ancient cave with Navajo art on the walls and saw some incredible breath taking views. Watch til the end of the video where I break down how much the van made and how much I made after expenses and splitting the load with the owner of the van.

Yep one big joke! I’m out here wasting my time. I’m broke, my business is going down the drain. Why did I waste my time driving for this company? I didn’t learn anything or level up in any way shape or form. What an idiot! What was I thinking? This is the biggest joke of 2023

@@buckzatm739 I was being sarcastic as in joking. If I was butt hurt maybe id get defensive and call you names or something. I’m prob the chillest person you will meet. I appreciate you watching and your comment all jokes aside.
I’m actually doing really well and now and owner operator making and saving more money than I ever have in my life. With repairs and unexpected mishaps.
I was getting my feet wet driving for a fleet owner that I learned a lot from and now I call my own shots, write off most of not all my income in my taxes, and my RUclips channel is growing 20-50 subscribers a day so that’s making me money and I wouldn’t have this if I didn’t drive and pay my dues. On top of the Merch and other side business that branched off RUclips. I can’t complain.
So to answer your question. No it’s not a joke and I got nothing but love for you buddy. Far from but hurt. One love!

So here is some advice that would behoove you. You need to stop every so often and stretch. I know, it sounds corny and wimpy and inefficient. I tell you this as an M.S. in Exercise Science, every time you fill the gas tank, take that dog for a long walk and thoroughly stretch your legs, hips, torso and neck. You will be glad you did. Drive safe now.

Cheap freight is relative to someone’s operating costs. I know a guy who owns his van pays 700 in insurance a month and has no other major bills back home. He can make good money off .80-.90.
Also sometimes people have a partial load and have extra room for another load. They can take that 2nd load for cheap cuz it’s a bonus for them.
The best thing to do is not worry about what rate others are taking freight for. Just focus on you because that’s what matters. If people wanna take cheap freight let ‘em. They either know what they are doing or don’t and won’t last long.

Nice traveling with you. Well done. Wish I had a furry companion. I think my trips would be more enjoyable.
My personal preference in expediting is cash paid for trucks. There's nothing better. Sure, there's A LOT to be said for a high end rig specifically designed for the industry. But if it isn't paid for, it changes the entire dynamic of the profession.
There's nothing better in life than pocketing 100% of the rate. Then when it breaks, you've got it. No sweat. Fix it, and make it up the next week.
Older paid off rigs get a bad rap for being costly and breaking down too much, Lol. My $2000, 2005 3/4 ton Express rolled almost flawlessly, nonstop, while I witnessed late models breaking all the friggin time! HUGE repair bills. A very late model Mercedes Sprinter with a $4000 repair!
You work way too hard, at the 8th (1-100) most dangerous job in the world. (Cops are 20-ish in danger) Keep ALL your money. Don't become a slave to this industry. The money you're giving up is the "hazard pay" portion of the rate! And whomever ISN'T paying for their fuel portion in this industry, is getting over on us. Big time.
    Godspeed!
