Sorry for the late reply. I believe the shower room is free. I’m not certain about Chennai, but I did use it for free in the Ahmedabad lounge. I’m not sure about the current status.

If you have a lounge access card, you can use it anytime. Just double-check whether your card provides access to that particular lounge or not.
Visa card charges- 2 rs
Master card charges - 25 rs.

They accept all cards, but for free railway lounge access, it’s best to confirm with your bank. As far as I know, the card you mentioned likely only offers airport lounge access.
