did similar they made me wait for a raise, offered half, I asked HR if I gave my two weeks would I get my vacation pay they said yes, I quit. got my cash and it was like 1300 plus with that and last check or LESS then the yearly amount for my asked for raise amount. 3 months later they fired the entire wing, hired contractors to replace inhouse employees, and I was laughing. found out later they were selling the company to a large conglomerate and wanted the books to have minimals. flash ahead currently, the entire company is now gone...
That’s a good story, buddy. I’ve mentioned to you before. I am not an engineer, but we work in similar fields and they found one person that does good work and they will grind them into the ground and you can go anywhere else and make pretty much whatever you ask for if you’re competent and can pass a drug test lol
Often the case aint it! Companies take and take. Then when ya find a better source for your cheese they (and you) learn what they did to ya! Gives merit to searching new employment every 5+ years. GONE are the days when seniority means anything.
It's funny how these big companies think they're saving a buck by outsourcing, instead of having the equipment and staff to do it internally. I know that sometimes it is, but sounds like in this case it isn't.
I have a story about another company I worked for that laid off 25% of the company to raise funds to buy another company. They ended up having to hire twice the number of people they laid off to fix all the things that happened when they laid iff the original workers 😄

I had a coworker tell me "Good workers get more workers, bad workers get helpers." So true 😄
I miss manufacturing but not some of the people
I actually miss some of the people I worked with. It's the corporate culture I don't miss 😄
It's amazing how companies know you're worth more than what they are paying you but come up with millions of excuses not to give you a raise!
I would have been happy with a $1 per hour raise, but they took the corporate path and replaced me at 3x the cost of hiring an engineer 😄
Don't ask me because i don't know nuttin bout nuttin. I get dumber everyday 🙃
😄 Some day, I will tell the story about the "big z" laying me off 😁

Luckily, I had the sense to see when things were getting stagnate and left.
I have moved to at least 6 different companies since I got my degree.
Yea but you use your super nin
ja powers
You know it! I need to get to your neck of the woods one day and get a dough burger 😋
The first formula you learn in Engineering is: 1 Neked Ninja = 3 Fully clothed Non Ninjas
True dat! 😄
Sometimes you are the sharpest knife in the drawer.😂
Well...I was sharper than the replacements 😄
I understand that being a sanitation engineer myself 😂😂😂
I'm also a part time sanitation engineer 😄
