Buying the place next door to me was a real eye opener. It made me realize that mementos, memories, pictures, things that hold meaning to me, only hold meaning to me.
As someone who frequents thrift stores (and is known for seeking "roadside salvage") this concept has always hit home. I see so many "once treasured items" discarded or sold for pennies. I try to give them new life if I can, but I know that eventually they will all make their way back to a thrift store or to the landfill. Such is the nature of material items (especially when you have no kids or close family).

I agree. Sometimes when I look through my junk boxes, they are only worth something to me and maybe another hoarder 😄
That sounds about like my luck getting stuck.😆👍🍻
Hopefully not a normal occurrence ;-)
