Oh my goodness, I JUST went to your channel page, and I'm like WHAT!! Well let me start with a thank you for sharing this experience. I really appreciate it. And I'm going to watch the rest, but, it looks like you had a great time. But I had just ran across the thumbnail in my feed and clicked--with zero knowledge about you etc., so I assumed it would just be another run of the mill college kid goes to France. But the way you put together that reunion with your young friend was absolutely magical. A childhood friend is so special--and to have a re-coonection later in life is, as you've probably learned, VERY rare. Particularly where you did it. Beautiful depiction. Yeah, you might have also learned overcast days can also lead to a sunburn. I learned the first time I left the country. Never really hear about it in the US, but apparently if you're on the right region of the equator it happens. And with my color, I was really surprised. I literally didn't know it could happen. Last thing, jeez, I remember I had a tall co-worker when I worked at a grocery store as teen, that wanted to be my girlfriend but I thought she was TOO pretty. And her mom told me once "she was miss Jr Illinois" or something like that. But I was from the rough part of Chicago, and she was nice I was like---nahhh, I better keep my rough self over here. I say that to say this; congrats on having that whole life I saw on your page. It seems like a whole world unto itself.

I can't believe I didn't see it before today, but in my defense I've had a busy few months! I just returned from an entire semester abroad in the south of France, so look out for more vlogs coming very soon! Reuniting with my friend and studying in France were incredible experiences, and I'm so glad you appreciate my efforts to capture all of that on video!

As I prep for a France move I'm sorta always taking in random content. And I end up seeing a lot of stuff that goes n-o-w-h-e-r-e, but occasionally I see a trip like yours, where I'm happy the person was able to capture that special time.
