Great idea and you are a great architect, too. It’s good to know that the thickness holds up the weight. I put timers on all of water pumps because they often malfunctioned and cooked my plants.
@SerpaDesign Hi Tanner 👋 I've also been working with sphagnum moss in my projects. I recently was surprised to learn that sphagnum Moss might carry sporotrichosis fungus. The article I read recommends gloves and long sleeves. Have you heard of this?
Because he shows us all the positive and negatives, success and failures it makes every video informative and allows you to use the knowledge for other projects.
after watching channels like yours for a year or so i was able to gather enough inspo to make my own living wall with a few types of Monsteras. Its 4ft wide by 5 ft tall made from reclaimed curved acrylic and i made the interior support system form from expanding foam and cholla wood. Its about 6 or 7 months old now and really thriving so thank you for your channel to help me make my own home more beautiful and full of life. Its quite a conversation piece too!
I know nothing about plants but I've done my share of DIY builds, so I'm confident I can pull this off! I am now determined to build something like this for my girlfriend! It's stunning! 😍
i am going to try this! i was gifted a drawing of a bear in a cave under a waterfall and never had it framed because i thought that was just too plain. i was inspired by your channel a while back and wanted to attempt to make a frame for it that was also a planter but had no idea where to start; but i do now! this will work perfectly if i just make the back out of glass and construct everything around the art! thanks Serpa
I love that idea! You should check out his golden play button paludarium video if you haven't already. He does something similar to that, making an insert for the play button behind a paludarium. Might give you some ideas?
There is something so calming about your voice and videos, Tanner. I always learn stuff and can feel myself just relaxing as I watch, so thank you VERY much. Also, yet another EXCELLENT build, as always! 👏🏻🍀🌿💧
You are so methodical with the process no matter what the project is. The way you thoroughly explain things is also appreciated! I think I can replicate some of your smaller projects. I look forward to trying my first terrarium soon.
I recently got into your videos and am feeling SO inspired. After doing a lot of research I've finally gathered all the materials to transform my corn snake enclosure to bioactive. :)
Love it! I've always wanted one of these but have been intimidated by the thought of trying to build one but this seems super doable, thank you for sharing!
I have become obsessed with living walls and have even been able to incorporate them into my Vivariums, one with just a misting system and another that has a built in drip system on a timer. Definitely need to play around with a wicking system next though. Thankyou for all of your inspiring content over the years, it has helped me more than you know.
I've been wanting to create something like this for my space for ages, and I think this might finally be my call to actually do it! Thank you for the simple and easy explanation on how to build it!
You really inspired me to consider vertical surfaces in my house. I'll have to find some plants that don't mind poor light, but something like this would really bring my main floor to life!
I've noticed that your finger looks great. And you're using it again. I'm glad you're back to normal! I love it when you make these living wall builds!
I just made this about six months ago. 48 x 72. I layered it with a stainless steel sheet as a backing, pool liner siliconed down, two plastic pvc sheets, and recycled felt as a medium. Added a gutter system as draining. I then added a drip system (tube, drip emmiters) and lasted a closed loop system for watering. I have over 60 plants in it and am still adding. When I created, there wasn't any information on creating, but inspiration of final product. I wish I had recorded the process to help others like you did. You rock! I may make some smaller ones for my bedroom using your technique.
About 5/6 years ago, I bookmarked a video of yours on making a terrarium, and I just made my first one last week. I’ll check in in another 5 years to build this one! :D
Love this my daughter and I have been thinking of doing a living wall but couldn’t figure out how to do it or even know where to start. This gives us a start. Now it’s just finding a spot
Amazing - this video came out the day I was planning to go out to get some plants for my living wall 2.0, and was full of some very helpful ideas. We can only get 10-packs of these sheets up here in Ontario so I have plenty to build a very large version soon!
I want to make one of these to put next to my desk at work. I have limited realistic available space on my desk for office plants (I do have two of them, but workspace is still a priority), but love having a lot of greenery in my work area. A large living wall planter would keep the desk clear while allowing me to grow lush foliage to brighen things up.
I have some orchids I want to grow as they would in their native jungles. They need a vertical surface that will let their roots attach and I've been puzzling over a setup for more than a year now. This video gave me some tremendous ideas on how to provide what they need without having to wet the growing surface by hand daily and making a GBM (Great Big Mess). Thanks so much for sharing your creativity and know-how.
I've always enjoyed your build videos, you explain everything in such an easy to understand way, even when you make mistakes or things just don't work out. ❤ I love this idea, it looks awesome. I'd love to see updates on it as the plants settle in
This is brilliant, design and execution, it came together nicely. Did I expect any less from you, no, but I did like the detail in showing how this was done. It’s not out of reach of the average person which makes it doubly impressive.
For some reason RUclips has unsubscribed me from your channel. I just found you again because I manually searched for you. This never happened to me, but now I'll have to watch all the videos I didn't watch in that time. Love your content ❤
That’s a very interesting project, and it might also be one that could work in commercial spaces like cafes or office foyers: low cost, low maintenance but big impact.
Yup, get some clip on lights online and you’re good to go. You already have to plug the pump in so you have to have electric. But you can also get rechargeable usb lights now. They’re super cheap and work great.
I could see myself making one of these. It's a cool way to add more plants to your home, if all your windowsills and other surfaces are already full of planters and terrariums.
I had a lot of fun with this one and am excited to share it will all of you! I you enjoy the video and have a great weekend SerpaSquad!
Can you pleaseee make a natural ecosystem aquarium for *pike killifish?* plss
Great idea and you are a great architect, too. It’s good to know that the thickness holds up the weight.
I put timers on all of water pumps because they often malfunctioned and cooked my plants.
This was quite the project. I love the final outcome.
I enjoyed it as well 🪴👌💚
@SerpaDesign Hi Tanner 👋 I've also been working with sphagnum moss in my projects. I recently was surprised to learn that sphagnum Moss might carry sporotrichosis fungus. The article I read recommends gloves and long sleeves. Have you heard of this?
I would love a six month update; I'm curious to see how you deal with the plants growing. Do their planting pockets have room for more roots?
I don’t think Tanner ever makes a bad video.
Because he shows us all the positive and negatives, success and failures it makes every video informative and allows you to use the knowledge for other projects.
He don’t
Records confirm, he does not know how.
Agree
Big T never misses

I want to see!
I also want to seee
If you decide to share a pic, I'd love to see it as well.
WOW!! That's amazing!!
Yes please share a picture with us!!
Wake up this morning from a pretty bad nightmare to see this video had been uploaded. Tanner never misses. Seriously a comfort channel 🫶
I've been wanting to make one of these. This video might convince my parents to let me build one!
You got this!
start with a pot show them you understand and can maintain it.
move on to asking can you do some chores to earn the $
try looking into water hydroponics kratky method too
I do ceilings for work, and we were installing those tiles I took the off cuts home for projects just like this!
Awesome!
I love CAD (cardboard aided design)
This looks awesome! I'd be interested to see how it evolves over time, if you'd care to share in a few months.
Tanners just a chill guy.
I know nothing about plants but I've done my share of DIY builds, so I'm confident I can pull this off! I am now determined to build something like this for my girlfriend! It's stunning! 😍

You might want to laminate the drawing so that it doesn’t get damaged by the moisture from the plants!
@@juliemill22 that's definitely my biggest concern, thanks
@@esotericLobster i don't think I've seen that one, I will watch it before I go any further. Thank you!
Good luck, i hope it all goes well for you!
Thanks, Tanner. Lovely, budget-conscious little green wall. I like the choice of plants.
Tanner does not miss. So much thought, love, and creativity go into everything he makes. These feel like gifts to us
There is something so calming about your voice and videos, Tanner. I always learn stuff and can feel myself just relaxing as I watch, so thank you VERY much.
Also, yet another EXCELLENT build, as always! 👏🏻🍀🌿💧
this comment is for engagement!! love what you do and more people need to see it!
Your tip for cutting corners 1st is so helpful - I can use this technique in so many different projects. Thanks
This is one of my favorite channels, easily top 5.
Omg I've been wanting to make one for ages, and finally decided to start yesterday! This video couldnt have come at a better time!!
Tanner needs to bring this to market. This would be an awesome ikea product
“This guys alright” lol yes RUclips this guy is more than alright. 👍🏻 ❤🙏🏻
Beautiful idea!
Love your calm excitement too.
You are so methodical with the process no matter what the project is. The way you thoroughly explain things is also appreciated! I think I can replicate some of your smaller projects. I look forward to trying my first terrarium soon.
I'm really excited to see how this grows!!!
I hope you teach somewhere. You have a talent to transmitting knowledge. Greetings from Greece 🇬🇷.
I like the non-powertool approach 🙂
This was a beautiful piece💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚
I recently got into your videos and am feeling SO inspired. After doing a lot of research I've finally gathered all the materials to transform my corn snake enclosure to bioactive. :)
I fell in love with this Chanel for the terrariums. I feel like this vid is a right step back in that direction. Love the plants!❤
Love it! I've always wanted one of these but have been intimidated by the thought of trying to build one but this seems super doable, thank you for sharing!
I love the diy-ability of this one
I don't watch yt that much anymore but I missed this. ❤ You are amazing.

Definitely need to play around with a wicking system next though. Thankyou for all of your inspiring content over the years, it has helped me more than you know.
Looks like so much fun. Keen for updates. So much to learn from every video ❤
That's awesome. I love wall hanging plants as I have cats and it looks great while keeping plants out of reach.
You the man Serpa! Always doin something cool.
Tanner, you truely are a genius ❤
An awesome innovation just like everything tanner does, i wish i had this level of talent to build my own creations
Beautiful, I've been watching you for a few years now. Your ingenuity is inspiring!
I've been wanting to create something like this for my space for ages, and I think this might finally be my call to actually do it! Thank you for the simple and easy explanation on how to build it!
The perfect combination of DIY and gardening! I just love this channel! 😍

These are my favorite Saturday relax and learn something videos 😊
i love your content and am soooo glad i live in the same lifetime as you.
I've noticed that your finger looks great. And you're using it again. I'm glad you're back to normal!
I love it when you make these living wall builds!
It healed well and I'm able to use it for some things, but I don't think it will ever be 100% again.
Really cool tutorial on this subject. I enjoy all of your videos. I really appreciate that you build all of your own set-ups.
I love waking up and watching your vids in bed
You never cease to amaze me. Absolutely beautiful design!
ok this is something ive wanted for years! finally someone that post a video thats well explained and easy to follow!

Your videos are always welcome - just a joy to watch.
Always awaiting your uploads!
I bought some living wall frames a couple months ago and enjoy seeing all my philodendron hanging down.
Loving the unique builds and great explanations!
Amazing build, as always Tanner!

Really beautiful. I like the different shades of green.
Now this would be a wonderful thing to hang on an external door grille. Love it.

quality content as always! Awesome work, Tanner
can confirm: this guy is alright! 🐢🌱🌻
This is a great video. Looks like a very doable project. Tanner Alesia look easy.
This is brilliant, design and execution, it came together nicely. Did I expect any less from you, no, but I did like the detail in showing how this was done. It’s not out of reach of the average person which makes it doubly impressive.
I think its time for me to plan a DIY project. Thanks for the video

Great work. I appreciate your content and I am always impressed by your work and effort
This is a beautiful way to display plants love the straight forward design and tutorial. Please do an update on the progress as the plants grow.
I really like this one! It's a bit different but still within the same genre very cool.
As always another great build! 🤙🏼
Love this, Tanner!!
Looks gorgeous against that wall color!
Nice vid serpa, keep up the good work!
Great project, Tanner!
Ooh love these and always wondered how they work cheers
That’s a very interesting project, and it might also be one that could work in commercial spaces like cafes or office foyers: low cost, low maintenance but big impact.
Beautiful plant wall. 🪴🌿🪴
I have taken so much inspiration from you, thank you😊
Great project as always!
Always love your work!
Enjoy your vlogs. Thank you.
This is a really cool design. Thanks for doing the trial and error for us.
I love all the trouble and fix, it's what will help me the most for doing mine :)
This would be great in my kitchen full of herbs if I had more natural light. I've always wanted to make one of these
Maybe you could add a few clip-on lights to help your plants?
Yup, get some clip on lights online and you’re good to go. You already have to plug the pump in so you have to have electric. But you can also get rechargeable usb lights now. They’re super cheap and work great.
I could see myself making one of these. It's a cool way to add more plants to your home, if all your windowsills and other surfaces are already full of planters and terrariums.
One of my favorite notifications!
thanks Tanner! really nice🌱🪴
Thank you for this inspirational video, definitely going to try making one!
Very pretty!
Beautiful! Wow! 😊
