There is so much to comment about in this video that I dont even know where to start... I will boil it down to both of these sound extremely naive to my ears. Especially Mark Hall. Christian nationality is the grow ground for the fascism that is rapidly spreading in the US and to a bit less degree in Europe.
I wonder how any of these gentlemen feel about Hindu nationalism, as we see happening in India, or Muslim Nationalism that is manifest in Saudi Arabia and Iran, or Jewish nationalism which what is ripping Israel apart to the point where Israel is losing its standing in the eyes of the rest of the globe, or a slightly different flavor of Christian nationalism that caused a lot of strife and bloodshed in Ireland until very recently, or the many other times when a religion had a strong hand in guiding government decisions. Christian nationalism is not just praying in schools and Easter parades. If that was the full extent of its influence, no one would have any problem with it. Christian nationalism is propping up a single religion in a nation and using its specific principles and beliefs to guide the government. Maybe Christians think that would be great, but what ends up happening, and what we are currently seeing, is a government weaponizing religion, and I know Christians do not want that. Just survey the answers from a single congregation on their views of what they want for this country, and you will get as many conflicting answers as the number of people interviewed. Governments are human endeavors. Religions are meant to be spiritual endeavors. Mixing the two is a very toxic brew.
What is the obsession to make everyone else a Christian nationalist or else? Why not be like Candide....tend to ur own garden...this obsession w controlling women happening right now. It's sick
It's cheap to have your hook a question. Obviously, Christian Nationalism is a menace or a threat. It's enabling fascism. I'd like to hear this teased out but I'm just wishing the title was better. :-/
