lyrics:
I know you feel the way I change,
but you can't change the way I feel
Sometimes I'm a stranger to you,
one of a kind...
And I think someway you'll make it,
though you don't know how to take it
Sometimes you're a stranger to me,
one of a kind...
There were times of lots of laughter
And you felt you understood
We were carefree, open and honest
Loving easy, kind and true
And I suppose you never doubted
That we were all together fine
You never really knew my mind
You never really knew my mind...
My sounds holds the secrets when
I answer but don't answer
You did not see me well enough
to recognize the signs
You didn't want to notice
or know that it was over
I did not see you well enough
to recognize the signs
And there were times of lots of laughter
And you felt you understood
We were carefree, open and honest
Loving easy, kind and true
And I suppose you never doubted
That we were all together fine
Then you saw the changes painfully
And you knew...
you never really knew my mind...
And I suppose you never doubted
That we were all together fine...
Sometimes I'm a stranger to you
And sometimes you're a stranger to me
Sometimes, maybe all the time
You never really knew my mind
I never really knew your mind...
I am honored to be the acoustic guitarist on this recording. Thank you for sharing this Meg!
Besides a wonderful taste in choosing your guitar parts and the way to play them, I envy your opportunity to meet one of the greatest singers I've ever loved in my life.....soulful and heartbreaking result......wish you all the best
@@AlessandroBernazzoli thank you for your kindness. It's still the highlight of my career as a session guitarist. Recorded my tracks in March of 2016...it didn't get released until Spring of 2018..so it was a long time coming. I'm very happy with how it turned out and Chris liked it enough to keep it on the recording so..very thankful to him and John Carter Cash for calling me to be on this song.
I am honored to know that you played for our Chris ..tjanx for sharing that intimate info..😊❤
@@sandipage1471 I'm just glad to be a part of this! Thankful that artists like Meg are keeping this beautiful memory alive for us all!
Bro ur fuckimg amazing if I was a bee I'd grow knees for you man
There’s no words to describe this, besides I love it. Johnny would be gracious and proud
I hate who cut this video, everytime I see the end where they show chris walking out the door I nearly burst into tears. I've never cried for the loss of a stranger before... funny how we never really know all the people we're connected to or affected by.
I did this, Danix... It was quite intentional...
@@Meg_pl Great job. So sad :(
If you pay attention in the lyrics look's like Chris was singing for himself.
@@Meg_pl Hi, how are you? I found a RUclips playlist of yours called "przeboje lat 80-tych.../ nastrojowo, klimatycznie... romantic hits of 80's...". Can I send you a song? Could you please add it if you like? It would be a great help.
Absolutely the truth...we just never know. And how can his voice strip my soul to the core, give me joy and heartbreak all at once in familiarity??? Lord, how I miss him😭💔
I want to offer this song to all the lost people.
Can't stop crying
Never knew who Chris was until he appeared in my dreams.
True story.
i too have had several vivid dreams with Chris in them. not sure why he has touched my soul so deeply. but he has and does.
Best song to all thebpeople that just don't understand.. God bless!!
I love this song. It highlights how lonely I feel.
Awesome cover. A song about a women who couldnt understand an addict.
In hindsight it’s probably the perfect ending to his career, but we’ll never know how much more he had left
He was barely at his peak theres a treasure of lyrics that he had hidden that we will never know rest easy
Rest easy cris😔
This is his heart and soul in a song. Like most of us that are lost
We're all lost. Unfortunately, nobody can ever truly know what's in someone's mind...sometimes we don't even know our own minds.
Dam you Chris! Some of us are still here!
i was at linkin park concert and special guest was cornell he was amazing so was linkin park glad go to see them
Absolutely stunning!
I may have not known you
But my heart feels it did Brother...
no the walking out part still hurts😪
I'm crying so much.....
🎶 Well alright, well alright
Can't find love just to feel alright...
I wish people truly understood a cry for help and I wish all wife's would support and understand a partner and help him or her when they need it most
Have mercy...such brilliance. This song is everything......
a Relationship ending , this is the song .thx Chris , you got me on my feet when Audioslave stopped in town ''This is a rock concert "! he said , and we listened to you .
Chris was at Johnny Cash's house in Tennessee how cool. Unlike Vic June Carter Cash Loved her Husband very much. Now they were truly Soulmate's. That's hard to find these days. Now there together in Heaven. So Is our Beloved Chris. Almost a year. Seems like Yesterday we all heard the horrible lie. Don't believe for a minute he killed his self. He was moving on away from her lies treating him like shit and seeing her For the Evil thing she was. I'm so sorry you fell for some thing like that.But. We're only Human. I wish it wasn't her. Justice for Chris Cornell. Thanks for the video. At least we have our memories.Never be another Chris Cornell We Miss you Chris Never Forget you. Rest Easy. ❤😢😇♥..
Come on , his kids may see this
@@lizzieroberts9872 his kids should know the truth. It will prevail.
@@bellarose6501 👍💯. EVERYTHING done in the dark will be brought out into the light.
That's so sad :(
We all miiss u Chris xo RIP
He was really saying something that nobody understood. Just so sad, depression is so real. I deal with it all the time, I can touch base. Love you Chris and ty for your beautiful music. I hope your son can pick up where you left off but, not have to deal with the same demons. You'll never be forgotten.
Sadly his son will have to live with the question "why did my coward dad ditch us kids, were we not good enough for him?"
Arrepia até os ossos
But you can't change the way i feel...
You never really knew my mind,
I never really knew your mind...
His left eye hidden . Chris , I loVe You . Did you want get out from this "OneEyeCuLt" ? ❤🔥🐉🐲🙏
I wish I new the future.
I know you feel the way I change
But you can't change the way I feel
Sometimes I'm a stranger to you
One of a kind
And I think some way you'll make it through
You don't know how to take it
Sometimes you're a stranger to me
One of a kind
There were times and lots of laughter
And you felt you understood
We were carefree, open and honest
Loving, easy, kind and true
And I suppose you never doubted
That we were altogether fine
You never really knew my mind
You never really knew my mind
My silence holds
Secrets find
I answer but don't answer
You did not see me well enough to recognize the signs
You didn't want to know this
But know that it was over
I did not see you well enough to recognize the signs
And there were times and lots of laughter
And you felt you understood
We were carefree, open and honest
Loving, easy, kind and true
And I suppose you never doubted
That we were altogether fine
Then you saw the changes painfully
And you knew
You never really knew my mind
Yeah
Uh uh
And I suppose you never doubted
That we were altogether fine
Sometimes I'm a stranger to you
Sometimes you're a stranger to me
Sometimes, maybe all the time
You never really knew my mind
I never really knew your mind
Christopher Cornell / John Cash
Thank you 😇
Wow
Here's a weird perspective of this song... what if he's singing to his old self? He's a different person now, and he's looking back on what, and how, he used to be?
This is so haunting ...and I really could use a Kleenex .❤️
We all need Jesus
Indeed 💯, Amen!
Nah, I'm alright thanks
What a song for those who do the leaving
😢😢😢💖
Belki de kimse bilemedi, Chris'in aklından geçenleri.
If you pay attention in the lyrics look's like he was singing for himself.
😭😭😭💔💔💔
to juz rok...
So sad this is the last gift left by CC
So painful to listen to this 😭😭
Antyradio mnie tu przywiało 😊 😙 Janush .....
A mnie Trójka :D
mnie też ... dzisiaj :)
Is that Louis CK at 3:10?
Professor Kaos It's John Carter Cash (Johnny's son).
Lyrics are sadly ironic :(
Kris Topher that’s why he picked this unreleased cash song because it had some deeper meaning to his life it almost sounds like lyrics he would write
Man he sometimes sounds like Chris Stapleton in this song. Pero me gusta mas. xD
