While I'm still upset that they bailed on HSM2 in the previous season, knowing that season 3 of High School Musical: The Musical: The Series takes place at summer camp has me feeling much better about finally getting to see my favorite HSM2 songs done justice. What else could they possibly do for a summer theme?! Derick & I are ready to sing and dance and have the best summer of our lives!!
Plot (via Wiki):
In the new season, it's summer break! The Wildcats leave the hallways of East High for the ultimate summer at sleepaway camp, complete with campfires, summer romances and curfew-less nights. Camp Shallow Lake, a family-owned sleepaway camp in California. With a high-stakes production of Frozen and a behind-the-scenes “docuseries” of the production in the works, the Wildcats will attempt to show who is “best in snow” without leaving anyone out in the cold.

I love the fact that this season mimics HSM 2 by going away from East High for a summer. It might just be my favorite of all four seasons, just because they take risks and Olivia doesn't get in the way of the storyline like in season two. The music is so much better this season and the original songs combined with a lot of Corbin Bleu makes it that much more enjoyable (seriously he is barely in Season 4-). I also like the fact they did a lot of "unknown" songs from the Frozen musical whereas most people are just familiar with the movie version.
