I recall loving Glowgli and was hoping that STS9 continued going in this direction. Those were great shows and incredible energy jams. The good ol' days...
Was at this show and was hands down a historic moment. Bassnectar threw down from the middle of the crowd on a sector set break. Flying lotus rocked out too. Lord all mighty LSD
Dude I totally was at this show too. I remember nectar throwing down in the middle of the crowd from a tent. Shit was gnar gbar... Flying lotus kinda freaked me out though lol
Someday people will look back at performances like this and worship these guys like some people look at Led Zeppelin today..musical gods in a sence... way ahead of their time.
Gotta admit, Murphs bass isn’t anything like Alana’s, but Alana is way more technical and that means more fun can be had on the bass lines and she has delivered!
There is actually a Glogi>Call Jam>Glogi played in 2008. It was after the Denver Fillmore shows at the Gothic as an after party. Originally just billed as a PA set, the whole band came up with essentially there whole set up. Setlist was amazing one of the last times it felt like the show was in the "moment" (ie. so much jamming and improv) incredible setlist WMIOD > Circus > WMIOD Hi-Key Bigs GLOgli > Call jam > GLOgli Tokyo Really Wut? ( 19 minute version!! with Alana from Sub-id)
sts9 just keeps getting better. i hope they follow the path they're on for a long while, but it will be real interesting if they ever decide to start doing a lot more improv while incorporating the laptops.. whole shows like that richard devine set. gnarly.
This song definitely expresses their jazz fusion influences. but if they called themselves that, they might end up on Smooth Jazz Radio lol, so Electronica I guess is the best definition of STS9 or 70s jazz fusion 2.0
AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!! What a GREAT JAM!!!!
I miss these days
first time at redrocks, first time seeing sts9, and was one of the best birthday gifts. thank you Colorado Krew.

07 in tiny clutch cargos in Pontiac Michigan... Blew my mind
This is one of the greatest things ever committed to audio. Vid's nice too, but damn what a track!

Bad azz beats as usual for this band! SWeeeeeet! ;)
Hunters guitar solo/jam at 3:15 is literally out of this world. I’m gonna try and learn it

definitely a Call Jam tease in there for sure. 100%.... Its not a full tease but phipps definitely was cracking a smile up playing those notes
Call jam teases from Phipps around the 9:15 mark
check out jeffree at 1:13, what is he sliding across that drum that makes that sound?

I've seen GLOgli once before, and it didn't even compare to this one.
what production program do they use live? cubase?
Murph laying down the bass notes like a G
anyone else hear the subtle call tease around 9:00 ? listen carefully its not a full tease but sounds like phipps wanted to play it!
YES THE WMOID>CIRCUS>WMOID IS THE BEST
@FLyAgaric421 i think your right
@fcmilsweeper9 Ableton Live
Good question. He actually grabs something...maybe a tuning fork or some sort of mini mallet?
Actually they are rolling harder than Malcom X listening to Taylor Swift in his casket
Fucking play Burning Man next year. PLEASE!
Am I the only person that thinks Zach looks like Mac from It's Always Sunny?
Spencer O'Neill HEEEYYYOO
