@@benedictpayot9527 I had a similar problem. For me the solution was to change my hold/grasp of the steam deck. Definitely fix this as poor circulation can cause damage to your hands in the long-run. (i.e. arthritis)
I ordered an OLED steam deck for all the little extra improvements (because I already wanted to get a steam deck anyway), but OLED itself is a huge gimmick. The lighter weight is a genuine positive, especially for handheld devices (to be clear in the deck's case it's not about the 30g difference in the final product, but about the fact that the screen is actually way more than 30g lighter and they used most of those weight savings on upgrading the battery and cooling system, which are the big reasons I'm buying an OLED deck over an LCD one), but be aware that you are either going to deal with drastically reduced image quality on a much shorter timeframe than an LCD (to the point that in a couple of years you can expect your OLED screen to look worse than a LCD screen would after two years, and the colour balance to be way off), or with replacing your screen every year or two to get around this issue. This is because blue OLEDs decay faster than red and green OLEDs, and all three decay MUCH faster than LCD filters on a regular LED-lit screen. This has been an issue since the technology was invented and while there's been a lot of work done to get around it the solutions still generally boil down to variations of "run twice as many blue OLEDs at half brightness so they decay slower," "adjust the colour balance once a month" and "just replace it; what are you, poor?" I would never, ever buy a piece of technology just for an OLED screen, because the blacker blacks and lighter weight do not make up for the short lifespan imo.
Seems like steam is so far ahead of Sony and PlayStation when it comes to giving gamers what they actually want. Customize your games however you want.
In my professional opinion, the Steam Deck presents itself as a viable alternative to the Xbox console. For individuals who are weary of the constant rumors, uncertainties, and unfulfilled promises associated with Microsoft's Xbox, I can empathize with their frustrations. While I previously held a positive regard for the Xbox, their persistent shortcomings and broken commitments have eroded my trust in their brand. Consequently, I have made the decision to transition to the Steam Deck as my preferred gaming platform. Additionally, it has come to my attention that the Xbox Series X/S consoles tend to generate excessive heat, which raises concerns regarding their user-friendliness and overall performance.
I need some help with my steam deck, there was nothing wrong then I must’ve pressed the wrong button when it was on desktop mode. Now I’m using the pointer on the touchscreen. It just keeps opening blue boxes and won’t work regularly as the pointer was before. Is there a way to fix this? It was working fine until I was downloading something and must’ve pressed the wrong button. Now I moved the cursor with my finger across the touchscreen. It just keeps like opening these blue boxes that can highlight things. How do I stop it from doing that and get it back to normal?
So I was debating if I should get the 512 of 1 tb but it seems like your 512 is just as good as the 1tb if not better so I might just copy and paste play it safe
