I do love fish skin. I was once at a downhill MTB race in Mammoth and the dudes that I was staying with had gone trout fishing on the way there. So we had a big trout dinner, but no one else there liked the skin. So a had a small fillet and all of the skin I could ever want. I don't remember my race result from the trip, but I sure remember that feast of skin.

My 4x4 is nearly finished being rebuilt, then I sell the AWD I'm driving around now and use that money get a little lake boat and spend most of the weekends next year hitting up two remote stocked dams in far north queensland sight fishing for meter plus barra. Queenfish are amazing eating so long as you bake them in alfoil on the same day you catch them. For whatever reason, they turn to mush if frozen, and generally deteriorate really quickly. Fresh, I'd have them over most other fish in that part of the world.

@@gidosfishingadventures Watched the earlier video after and saw the sharks, understood the heavy drag. Get em off the rocks and that first run is blistering, fishing 15kg with 5-6kg drag, thought maybe their just getting up to speed as they come tight on the heavy drag causing the hooks to pull. Worth a try, only to hook a monster GT 😉
