The negative steam reviews at the top of its store page tell me all I need to know. I don't blame you for grabbing the bag and being sponsored by this, but I see right through it. I'll give this the widest of berths.
The game is honestly great, and its main focus is the story campaign. Believe it or not, the gacha mechanics are completely optional. When you play online, it’s mostly for the "rogue-like" mode where you farm materials to upgrade your units. But what really stands out is the story campaign-it’s super engaging, and you get to explore different perspectives while trying to prevent the tragic events that happen in the game.
@@casualgamergurl if the gacha is completely optional, it exists solely to take advantage of those with addiction and impulse control issues. Sounds like the developers are scumbags for taking what could have been a retail game and designing it in a way to take advantage of people to maximize profits.
I don’t understand why the comment section is super critical towards the game. If the game is not your cup of tea, move along with it. Many of y’all are toxic, only here to spread hate and negativity
I wish this game was better. I really dislike the rock paper scissors aspect of combat, always online, so many microtransactions and stupid currency. Its made even worse due to its fantastic art direction tricking you into thinking its a good game. I'll just keep waiting for the FFT Remaster.

I however do blame them for pushing a casino game on their audience.

Pushing a thinly disguised casino onto your audience on Christmas is a bizarre move. Sadly this is where we part ways.
well no
Are any of these turn-based games online multiplayer against real people?

Please stay away from any of these gacha things. I love you guys but I'm really disappointed you took the sponsorship for this.
if they make it a offline sigh
Piss off with this sponsored crap for these trash gatcha games. Stop embarrassing yourself
The game is great, only crybabies complain about.
true.
To those naysayers in the comments. SoC has a very content rich non-online non-gacha mode. I got over 100 hrs in the demo
