Well for me this recording sounds amazing and shows considerably more ‘musicianship’ than many professionally recorded pieces. I am interested in what you perceive in the recording as ‘not quite perfect’? Don’t get me wrong, I am not trying to be confrontational but I feel too many performances are critiqued negatively by what I consider to be more ‘nuances’ than mistakes. We are not electronic sequencers and that’s what makes us so interesting. Also it’s very difficult to critique a recording that was made in an non acoustically treated space -as this appears to be-as certain frequencies will be amplified and sound otherwise distorted. If I could play anything close to the level that this man can play someday I will be very happy :-)
At a time when the pieces are performed faster and faster, in a quest for technique and performance, here is a Badinerie full of life which takes the time to stroll in trills and vibrato which gives it all its lightness and makes we come back to it. Thank you and hats off to the artist for this real interpretation!

I like the way your recordings are not quite perfect. There is hope for the rest of us...and it has more character if not perfect.
i agree with you, they are not perfect but with more character
