Yes. Duplicate your video. Drag it above the original video on the timeline. Mute the sound. Crop the length of the video to the portion you want to blur. Click video window above. Tool palette will appear. Select crop tool. Handles will appear around the duplicated clip in the window. Crop the duplicated video to the size of the area you want to blur. Select the blur filter and select how much blur you want.
Thanks, uploading a .jpg shape worked to black out the sections of my screen that I wanted to blur. Funny to see that climchamp has dozens of filters to play around with, and such a basic feature is missing.
Thanks for showing that. You know what. I blur in RUclips Video Editor. Its easy and works. )If I want blur outs parts in a video) If ClipChamp is so stupid and havent the feature, then I look for another Editor Program.
I don't think paint has a blur option, but I am sure you can find an online generator that does it. You can basically create a blurred version of the entire image, then superimpose the part you dont want to blur over it.
hey wisdomdocks, can you share an example? please put a video link here and I will check it out. Just let me know the timestamp i should be looking for. It sounds like you want a motion graphics opener.
Hey Launchpad B, here's an example of what I'm looking for. Is it possible to do add the pop-up text or any text effect in clipchamp? Here's an example (timestamp: from 0:00 - 0:03) The text is fast, short, yet readable within a glance.
TLDR; You can't, you have to use a workaround.
Thanks Mark for showing on RUclips about clip videos
Glad to help.
For the last method, clipchamp actually has a new crop feature, so you can even do it on a video and not just a picture.

Do you think using Paint would achieve a similar blur effect? Also, thank you for showing me how to (even if I don't plan on using PowerPoint).

@@LaunchpadB Thank you!
@@LaunchpadB To blur in MS paint, just shrink the image and grow it back. It pixelates it.

2x hollow, are you having connectivity issues? Have you tried the installed version? It also requires internet connectivity, but it may help.
