probably good idea to increase illusionary crab visibility
maybe intended to be hard to spot but idk
Crabs for the Crab god!
Love the mesoamerican aesthetic to the units
“What should we name the crab?”
“You just did.”
Oh I hope we get more videos like this
I imagine we are gonna see alot of changes over the years for balancing issues, but I'm really impressed with how innovative these units are. I can tell each faction is really going to play completely different from one another. very cool.
Crabs are my totem animal! Also this video is painfully short but the good thing to take from this comment is that I want moar!
Great to see more ZS content videos. I'm so looking forward to RTS renaissance led by this, stormgate & Tempest Rising to name a few upcoming exciting RTS games
Good music. I wonder at being able to both heal and cloak, seems it could be a little too powerful. Though I suppose it could be cloaking at range to make up for that. I'm liking the aesthetic of these units as well.
Considering how cloak works, i don't think it's too op, cloak just makes your unit invisible until it comes too close to enemy units, which is often a firing range
It depends on how cloaking works and how it is revealed. If cloak drops after one action or after the unit gets within a certain range of an enemy it would be less powerful than if it was an unbreakable cloak that was timed/channeled.
Crabs crabs we are the crabs
Crabs go brr! especially with the crab dance 👀
THE CRAB!
I really like the way the carapace and metal of is faction are rendered. You can tell they are wealthy and refined.
Illusionary crabs seem quite invisible now for a unit without invisibility.
Agreed, looks like they are always invisible, but I hope they will change it later :3
Oh nyo its giant enemy crab!
Crab people, crab people
If they don't have the crab dance meme as an emote for the Crabs in this game, I'll be sorely disappointed.
wow! i like that animation of units. mood crab mmm, Seydaneen... have some flashbacks.
All hail The Crab! 🦀
Great video
planning on Wishlisting it on Steam with 3 other friends!!!
Developers please take a look at maybe the best RTS ever
C&C Kane's Wrath
Crab.
mmm crab
Rageborn looks like Kotal Kahn
Looks intresting faction
Dear Zerospace team,
Your game excites me (and several other people) more than Stormgate! Your vision seems clear, distinct, gritty, full of interesting lore and with beautiful unit designs. The game feels like something you knew exactly what it was before you even started development. And the gameplay, too, looks smooth, dynamic and fun!
The only complaint thus far from myself and other RTS fans is the forceful use of heroes in competitive matches in Zerospace. For many, it feels like a "blue shell" from Mariokart, or using items in competitive Super Smash Brothers...it's a mechanic that could change the tide of a competitive game that wouldn't be reliant on skill alone.
Starcraft is a game many enjoy because of its ruthlessly competitive nature, and the use of heroes has been a verbal turn-off from many because it deviates from that.
To wrap things up: I believe a competitive hero-less and XP-less mode (in addition to, and separate from, what you already have created) would silence the skeptics and put doubtful minds to rest.
You guys have everything going for Zerospace to become the definitive SC2 spiritual successor!
Can't wait to try your amazing-looking game,
-a hopeful RTS fan
exping units and heroes is what makes the RPG element in RTS-es fun. RA 2 2000, (emperor Battle for dune) CCG. While personally not being a fan of heroes, unit exping is what makes vetting units way more fun than going full atrrition style with mass clicking. WC III is competitive even with heroes there, that means that vetting units and heroes is not outside of balancing picture. Perhaps youre afraid of easy fast max vet that will single handedly wipe out all in their path. Or because there are some people who proclaim these as articles of RTS-competitive-purity faith. Do not be limited by what others tell you is common knowledge - it is often wrong and limits peoples ability to think outside others box.
NICE !
Time for crab!
looks great for alpha, would love a little more gritty look art pass before launch, making it a little bit less colorful and a tad darker
Nice!
Crab
Crab
Loving it!
Isn't Blood Warriors attack a bit too small to notice? That's what kind of bothers me a bit, other than that it's great!
looks like a really fun faction
Found my mercenary faction ! :D
I want to play this game so f***ing badly!
They seem really strong, particularly that "insta build a wall" ability which could trap an entire army between the wall and a cliff or something.
It’s similar to the Protoss sentry forcefield ability.
Steath crabs and rift so they can't run away
I'm excited! 🤩
awesomee job;
it looks cool, like the units, hate how heroes are mixmatched to whatever race, some with merchenaries; it just looks and seem off.
what ive seen from thhe gameplay i actually think it looks really good. a kinda mix between DOW serie and Supreme-commandeer, which are both excellent games to take ideas from.
would love the ability from dow1 where you could set your units behaviour to different states, also existed in an ooooldd rts battle something; where you could sign roles and the unit would forfill them in subpar manner, but it lowers a lot off the trrivial micro; like "right click->scout" unit will attempt to scout dark area's, right-click "disengage" unit will disengage and flee from enemies; as such you could easily give units basic roles they forfill which are trivial, simple and honestly shouldn't be the commanders job to micromanage :DD
Love the tyranids, but pls no bipeddle, humanoids, with the monsters; let us get Monsters; big fan off the "ultralisk" love how it seems to work, i was positively impressed over how the game plays, is, and seems to function togetheer ;DD
also PLEAASSSE let me zoom out FAAAR out, i hate not having proper overview and i get heavy headedges staring at the tiny minimaps. just let me zoom out dammit! :P
also you can't have people throwing normal knifes in a conflict that involves nukes... thats just kinda weird :P
Crab....Battle...
Are these mercenary units? They all feel like awesome tech units to add to a core army to meet special needs.
How many factions will this game have? 👀
@IGN please support this game!
I'm a little confused, does the cultist heal/stealth itself or another unit?
I think both tbh ^^
Yes, its both! Sorry, I can see how that wasn't fully clear in the video.
@@PlayZeroSpace Cool. Thanks!
looks great. far better than SG visuals.
Does the stealth of the cultist break on attack or is it a fixed duration no matter what?
this reminds at the naga in wciii.
not even close
one unit looked like an ultralix.
This game in alpha looks way better than Stormgate beta Lmao.
please doesn't make "invisible texture" units that doesn't supposes to be invisible.
weird
crabs as a race lol...these new rts are terrible. Back to SC2 and supreme commander lol
How is that much different from the Zerg? At least these have a unique mesoamerican flavor. Zerg are just bugs.
@@user-wb8iu1hl6i lol just not unique...
