My brother is starting his 4th Chemo/Rad treatment today. He was and is barely able to get out of bed after the 3rd treatment. It has really hit him hard this week. The King is doing incredibly well. The media is spreading gloom & doom. Thank you for your positivity, River.

@@spiritmatter1553I send your brother my prayers. I also went through chemo and I couldn’t even hold down water after my second treatment plus needed to be hospitalized for transfusions. It’s difficult for some and others get through it with little to no side effects.
So sorry to hear about your brother...chemo is awful but effective...hopefully this treatment will go a little better for him. My husband went through so much in his fight with cancer and the one thing that the doctors said helped him was his determination to get better. Don't give up hope...he is not alone. Many prayers are being sent his way and for your family too.
Anyone saying the King looked tired or whatever nonsense has never dealt with Cancer treatment. He was his usual personable, kind, good natured self and seemed to be in good spirits. The Queen Consort was lovely - as usual.
It’s not just physically draining, emotionally draining, mentally draining- but it’s also soul draining. I am constantly amazed at how very little people seem to know about cancer treatment.

I had a former classmate who just completed her final tx and surgery for breast cancer. Friends formed a group around her online for moral support as we were not close in locality. Some days support was called upon hourly. You gave a perfect discription of it
What a change in King Charles from last week, he's fighting and doing well with his treatment of course having a good wife, family and country behind him he'll be fine 🙂

King Charles looked incredibly happy to ne out and about on Easter Sunday. I think he was as happy to see the people gathered as they were to see him. It made my heart happy!

I’m guessing he will be front and center, not partially hidden by a candle or feather plume. I wonder if he will be claiming all the expenses, like he does when attending the actual games. Mind you, I blame the board and organisers for allowing him to claim such outrageous expenses claims. That money could be used to bring the athletes to the games, as I believe they have to make their own way there! He should be hanging his head in shame! People say he’s not the brightest of sparks but he knows how to fleece a charity for his monetary expenses, including flying in a private jet…….
@@dorcas9114I know you are joking, but I must have a soapbox moment and remind those of us who are Christians - that Church is for anyone who’s soul is longing for love and reconciliation. It is sin (that which separates is from God and one another) that brings us all to the altar, even those who identify as saints. I am troubled when, even in jest, it is suggested that Church and God are bestowing judgement upon anyone, or that anyone should be fearful of going to church.

Next best thing a rich husband. The dimwitted ginger was an easy prey! I have heard that she is allegedly on the security radar as a person of fixation, she is fixated on Catherine,Harry’s wife is considered dangerous. She has to have a minder at all times while in the UK. They pass it off as security. She is restricted as to where she goes. I doubt she will bring the invisible children.

Because of Camilla’s “maybe mishap” with her earrings and River pointing it out during a broadcast a few months ago, I googled (and bought) some mismatched pairs for my 11 year old niece!

As a middle eastern immigrant living in the USA, I agree with you !! We assimilated to the language, food, education, and politics. Sure.. I'm Christian, but just like how I kept my faith to myself back there for my safety, I continued to keep it a private matter. It is one thing if someone asks about my culture and traditions, but definitely I never forced it down anyone's throat. There are many wolves in sheep clothes in the USA now... and I have encountered many in the UK, France, Germany, and Belgium. I'm very concerned that whatever I have escaped from my homeland is already here.

I live in a part of London that has a large Moslem and a large Catholic community. The Easter service in our church was so crowded that people were spilling over into the grounds. Some blokes (maybe drunk) tried to disrupt the service and I couldn't help thinking that if this had happened to a Mosque, it would have been a treated more seriously than when it happens in a Christian church. All religions are welcome but I do wish Christianity was not so apologetic in the UK.

We had a trailer full of Bibles set on fire Easter morning outside a church here in Tennessee. People said they were going to pray for the person who did this act.
You can do that act here in America, although the perpetrator likely broke laws in starting a fire in a public street. You could not do that to a trailer loaded full Qurans in an Islamic country--(probably without losing your life.)
I think being tolerant is still a better approach, although I am saddened to see this kind of hatred for a religion that has promoted decent standards of behavior. I think it is one reason that the USA was strong for many years.

I saw an article over here in the US ripping into her for not attending when "the King has cancer and he attended." They just won't leave her alone. It's vicious! I hope someone posts a rebuttal article stating that Catherine hasn't been able to convalesce in peace at all during the past couple months and been under constant scrutiny, suspicion and attacks even when trying to post a photo for mother's day and she needs the time away now that everything has been revealed. By contrast, the king has been able to convalesce in peace and with nothing but well wishes from the people and the media so of course he's feeling well enough to attend services for one day. I feel like the king even made sure he was well enough to attend Easter in order to give Princess Catherine a much needed break and protection from the scrutiny because how can anyone say anything when the King himself attended Easter services and yet they still are coming for Catherine! I don't get the constant attacks on her other than Meghan and Harry must still have some serious pull with US media which seems likely since they never say a word against them.

I had Surgeries, Chemo, Radiation and years of medication. I had 4 tumours (Stage3 Breast CA).and they ‘hit’ me with the hardest Chemo and radiation they could. It was tough but I was strong and healthy(58) and worked through it all. They had so many good medications for pain, nausea….and to boost my immune system. It was very doable. I am 70 now. One day at a time. Everyone responds differently. Sending ❤️❤️❤️to King Charles and the Princess of Wales.
They can do blood work to see if he is immune compromised….so maybe he was OK. If his white Cell count had been really high they would have made him wear a mask at the very least.

I’ve frequented his stunning shop many times, more for the sheer joy to view rather than purchase, and show whichever friend I am with at the delights, and even though explaining my intentions and indeed my budget to him, he is keen to show us such fancies and his fave pieces, and share his wealth of knowledge etc. What a grave shame he has suffered so, but how very glorious and gallant he remains, despite the brutality. My sister, who has recently moved to England from Ireland, and is a very smart cookie, mentioned to me (living in Africa) that no one is paying attention to the hundreds (thousands??) of 30 - 35 year old Muslim men who are immigrating into England. What are they there for?? They come with no families. They are the forward brigade. They are there to forment trouble and get this shit that is presently pervasive, to achieve their schemes. She predicts that in 10 -15 years time - England will be Muslim - and no one can see it.
I attend a church in Johannesburg ( South Africa) and it is going increasingly "happy clappy" which I loathe. And my attendance is now restricted to the major Christian religious holidays.

🇨🇦 thank you to the King for his kind recognition of the RCAF. In spite of Canada's small population, the RCAF went from being a very small branch of service in 1939 to the fourth largest air force in the world by the end of WW 2. Canadian pilots (many northern bush pilots) became aviation trainers in the British Commonwealth Air Training program, training pilots from England and other countries of the Dominion.
The RCAF gave critical support for the RAF in WW 2. Many Canadian pilots joined the RAF, but RCAF squadrons played a huge role in supporting England during the Battle of Britain in 1940. The RCAF was also critical in the Battle of the Atlantic, providing air escort for military and merchant navy ships as far as possible from our Atlantic ports in Halifax and Newfoundland, and hunting down and destroying German U-boats.
The world often looks at Canada as a poor sibling to its neighbours to the south, but our achievements in every area are quite astounding as well as very interesting if anyone cares to do a little research. Despite our small population, we have made an outsized contribution to the world, and I couldn't be more proud of my country and our Monarchy.

I had treatment every 3 weeks but only felt very I’ll for the first 5-6 days. Such a joy to see King Charles looking so well and attending church on the most important day of the Christian calendar. I thought they all looked lovely 💕

It was great to see Prince Charles looking so well!! I think being out with his family and seeing some of the public who love him is so good for him! I'm sure it made him very happy which in itself will help boost his immune system!!

I agree that the colour palate was a bit dark for Easter. Only HRH Princess Royal was dressed in one of the Easter pastel colours. But It was lovely to see all of them.

The weather was not very Spring-like so the pastels are still in the wardrobe!

I completely agree River. People are going to be more interested in Christianity because they are going to be told they are not living the right way. Living in the Christian faith means family, treat others as you would wish to be treated, forgiveness and moral standards. In essence, live like the late Queen Elizabeth II

I am so so sorry your country seems to be beginning to experience the same division within your kingdom! This is how it started here . In my opinion before it started most people didn’t care who wanted to be trans or practice the religion of their choice, racism was getting much better from when I was young and people had been very comfortable with people living whomever they wished. Then almost felt like over night, the disease crept in to our lives. It came with the run up to our elections in 2016. I wish I could figure out how to stop this from happening because it rots a country from the inside. When I hear the song “Imagine” by your John Lennon it makes me cry. Such a beautiful idea… a dream really. So unfortunately right now all I can do is just imagine. Love you and thank you for the laughs and the etiquette lessons I learn from you as you use our language so well.

River-- thank you so much for speaking encouraging words about soft Christianity. It was so nice to hear someone supportive of churches and Christianity for a change. Many people who have never been in a church have the outdated belief that church is all about disapproval, criticism and condemnation. Were they to attend a few services, they would be surprised to find it a place of spiritual calm, acceptance, support, community/family, and love.

@@MrsBridgette2012 I did, and I am lucky, but I felt lucky at my previous church of 11 years until a horrible, un-Christian minister came in and wreaked havoc by lying, gossiping about other parishoners, and yelling at several of us in Board meetings when she didn't like something and didn't agree.
When a church ceases to be about living a Christ-like life, it is time to go somewhere else.
Raised catholic mostly by nuns and priests in the 1950’s in London left a bad taste at a very young age. What a load of rubbish attempting brainwashing to young innocent minds. Abusive too! Not one to follow the sheep 🐑🐑🐑 Think for yourself 🇬🇧🇬🇧

Dear River, you are such a breath of fresh air. You would love the book shop at Alnwick station. I came across it in 2018 having travelled from rural Fife to York on the train with my mother to celebrate her 80th birthday. You may recall there was the most terrible storm in September of that year. On our return journey the train stopped at Alnwick and could not continue north due to trees and debris on the track. My mother and I found ourselves in the bookshop for several hours, definitely not a hardship. My dear husband drove south for several hours to rescue us and found us propped up in a cosy corner with wonderful books and enjoying tea & cakes. He joined us for a while before we headed for the long journey home. Always a pleasure to listen to your common sense broadcasts, with my very best wishes Caroline Anderson

Didn't the Queen look DIVINE!!! I wasn't expecting this, but this Easter look has shot up to my top three looks! Golly gee! This outfit and these colours, it's right up there for me with her Paris looks, and even her wedding coat and hat! She is looking absolutely fantastic, hardly ever makes a wrong move! You can't fake taste, and she's got it. Charles must be so happy. Fergie's green was a bit much. Sophie was a delight!! Quite beautiful, with this coat, hat, and shoes. And yes, the King looks quite amazing. He actually looks better now than pre-diagnosis - I think because he is now ordered to SLEEP and REST and be a good boy. :) Love you River!

Dear River, your Easter outfit is divine! I was able to catch the church arrival of the Royal family on RUclips. The King looked fabulous indeed and was glad to see the family out in full force. Much needed visual comfort.
Queen Camilla is one those women who looks absolutely FABULOUS in those oversized hats. Love it! I liked the choice of green shades for the royal ladies--it symbolizes revival, freshness, new growth. Sarah has such a warm and sincere big smile when greeting others. Good to see the Royals out and about and carrying on despite the health woes that they are dealing with.

It is said colours have an influence on mood and health and green is considered to be a healing colour. Princess Ann looked fabulous in that green coat and hat. Queen Camilla is getting better and better with every appearance. So inspiring to appreciate their regal elegance.
