Great video. I've had one for cpla years. Sadly, just lost presets for C, D, E. Contacted SL. But not very helpful. Figured I'd reprogram, but SL did not have a map of db settings, which shocked me. Anyway, if you happen to know any, please post. Thnx again. Sounds great.
@joshuaswannmusic6462 factory rep sent me a zip file with some weird extension. I have not tried it yet. I asked them for db settings that they used for factory default, to no avail. But yes thanks, I will try connecting to my laptop. 🤞
Thanks so much for this demo! Wondering if I could get your opinion on something; I have a new Yamaha CK88 piano with some great organ sounds and functionality; but the weighted keys aren't the best for organ, so I've been looking for an "organ-esque" MIDI controller to connect to the CK to use for organ songs, but there is no MIDI keyboard in existence with semi-weighted waterfall keys (which is weird, but true). The Numa organ has been discontinued (also weird but true) but I found a used one online so my long-winded (sorry!) question is: how close was the action/feel on the Numa to a Hammond? If the feel is close at all I might go for it, but otherwise would be a bit of overkill if I'm just using it as a MIDI controller with my CK (in which case; any basic MIDI controller recommendations for organ?) Any thoughts would be super appreciated!
Thanks for your question! Having owned a few C3's in my time I have to say that the Numa is the undisputed champion as far as accuracy and feel go. One other contender you may want to check out is Studiologic's VMK 161 which is a controller only. At the end of the day its all about the action with these boards having Hammond's B3-X plugin more than adequate for sound. If I had to buy another controller/combo organ again I think I would personally just buy a Crumar Mojo XT or Viscount Legend Live because at the price-point one would want looks as well as functionality and I think Crumar and and Viscount have it licked. Hammond Suzuki is a tad overpriced especially when considering you lose half the purchase/resale value once you've bought one. Thats just my opinion but definitely give these boards a try if possible. If money was no object I would no doubt hands down buy a Viscount Legend Soul.
I switched from a yahmaha 81 keys to casio 61 keys. Seems like I am always off key when playing the chords.. where are the chords played on this one and how many keys does it have?
Thanks for your comment. The Studiologic Numa Organ 2 has a total of 76 keys. 61 of the keys (which are colored like normal piano keys) are playable. It indeed can be difficult when switching from different chords on a smaller keyboard due to visual orientation. I had a similar problem when switching to a 25 note keyboard.
I personally find it to be a winner for me. In particular, the Numa does not seem to suffer from the high notes sounding harsh or digital as do many clones. Harmonically I found the sound to be rich across the spectrum and never flat sounding. I do recommend however dialling the bass knob back a bit as things can tend to get out of hand with low frequency which there is plenty of here. Ran through IK Multimedia's Leslie, its hard to beat. Used as a controller for their B3-X plugin, youve got a monster sound with controls. Cant go wrong with this one. Also the waterfall touch is probably the best and quietest Ive played. Only selling mine as Ive gotten my H-111 fixed so its been made redundant. Thanks for the question!
Sorry for the delay in response. You are correct, the onboard Leslie on the SL does fall short of the IK dramatically. Not to say it’s a bad onboard sim and infact it’s actually better than any other clone Leslie I’ve played. This board with IK is dazzling.
great playing. you sold it!
I run mine in stereo with Lounesberry TALL/FAT/WIDE pedal..you're killing it with this set up...
Sounds good!
(And yes, in stereo the rotary simulation would sound still better 👍😊)
Have one ...love it.
Its a great machine!
One button, one function.... Great! I'm fade up with combinaisons of buttons and menus like I have on my Ferrofish B 4000+
The Studiologic would definitely be quite an upgrade yes.

Thats a bummer! Have you tried resetting it back to factory default? You'd lose any presets stored but it would surely restore the ones for CDand E.

Has this sold yet?
How is the velocity response when using it as a midi controller?
It’s excellent 👍
What`s your opinion on this hammond emulation? Is it enough convincing tone for studio recordings? I considering getting one. Kind regards.

@@joshuaswannmusic6462 Thanks kindly for your answer and clarifications. So their leslie emulation is not up to the task compare to IK`s?

I don’t really care for this keyboard the Leslie on it is super cheesy and sounds nothing like a real Hammond but it will get the job done if needed
No thanks, but thanks, but no thanks!
Sounds amyzing
