I agree with you but somehow it‘s still nice because you get new possibilities to do way cooler goals :)
They made something that was not a problem a problem. The advantage in 18 and 19 was that most people didn’t know how to do it but now they’ve made it inclusive so everyone can do it. It’s an acquired skill not point and shoot. Bad move EA.

@@matthewfox778 free kicks up until 16(including 16)were great ypu could score 7/10 with a good taker. 17-19 were decent you could score 4/10 and now you can score 8/10 from close range 4/10 from long range depends on the free kick taker they are good from close but not from long range just like irl so they aren't too op

I remember in FIFA 13-14 I forget which it was where you had to hit a special button combo to lock your aim line in free kick to one spot and then just add spin to it lol.

Looks very promising so far. But how's the keeper movement in the free kick situations? Do you have to move him prior to the moment the taker chooses his corner, or when is his position locked in? If it is locked in at some point...^^ I just assumed that's how it is

I'm still confused, I have a couple of questions please.
1. What's the order of pressing the buttons? direct variance placement on the screen, then Press O, then add spin and hold on th spin?
2. When one does the spin action, do you have to hold on the last position till the shot is taken or you can just leave the right analog immediately you do the combo? - I hope you get what I'm trying to ask?

Is there a way to reduce my left stick sensitivity when aiming? I feel like whenever I try to slightly adjust the aim it just goes crazy wide and I cannot get the free kick right, also having a problem with power, is it required to have timed finishing to score??
tomahawk chop even with timed finishing it won’t help me. By the way u have to get used to the sensitivity. I’m already uses to it. I’ve only scored 2 free kicks

Bro, it's so weird man....the old fifa system was better, plus when you're playing with your friends, they'll know what shot you're taking from the pointer placement, I'm talking about kick off mode when you have a couple of friends at your house not online....soooo wierd😵

*EDIT:* It appears the haptic feedback got removed in the latest patch. Welp
*EDIT:* The haptic feedback is back in the game. But it's even harder to control now so you're going to need even steadier hands. 2.5 bars of power should give you decent accuracy though... Any less and the keeper can save it. Any more and you're likely to miss
You can hide the pointer. A little known tip: on default settings, the controller vibrates when the pointer goes across the crossbar or post, so you can place the pointer at the corner of the goal while it's hidden as long as you can keep fine control of the stick as you would need to even when you can see the pointer. To aim for the top right corner for example you move the stick to the right till you feel a vibration. This means you're past the post so you move it back left till you feel another vibration. Now you're just inside of the right post and you need to keep the stick from moving left or right (it is very sensitive in this area so easier said than done). Then you move it straight up till you feel a vibration for the crossbar, taking care not to let the stick move left or right. Then move the stick down for a second vibration and you are now aiming at the top corner. If you lose aim just recalibrate. Same applies in penalties. It's weird but it more closely simulates real error in set pieces.
No I found these much more realistic.
I am unable to fix the reticle while taking penalty or freekicks. It moves automatically towards the centre and costs me accuracy every time. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
You have to hold it in place until you've finished powering the shot. It's very sensitive so this takes a lot of concentration. The controller should vibrate by default when the reticle goes past the crossbar or posts so use the vibration to confirm that you're aiming at the edges. Then allow the stick to drift very slightly to aim inside of the goal and away from the center. If it drifts too much it goes back to the center. It might help to aim for that vibrational feedback three times to have a feel of how much you can let the stick drift. Then when you're sure your aim is true, *without letting the stick drift any further* power the shot

@@saikatdutta6853 no tricks just sheer focus. Although, using your thumb and index or the tip of your thumb should give you finer control over the joystick
I can't get power. No matter how good the accuracy and spin, the keeper is always getting to it. Using Neymar
me too, and then when I power it up more, the ball goes to the sky, I've managed to score one in the fk drill before kickoff
As more power, Aim lower and time it then you'll score trust me!
Need more practice to learn and also use different techniques
Carefulwilzy it’s all about the timed shot, as soon as your player is going to take the kick press O again on ps4 (B for xbox) and the free kick circle should go green or yellow.

the whole free kick system has been shit since fifa 14 they just keep making it complicated and worse every year
You just do not know how To use it and are mad because of it the system is perfect you cn shoot different types of free kicks

This was recorded at a special capture event at gamescom before the release of FIFA 20. Hence it wasn't final and the new kits weren't included.

I actually prefer the new system:
The opponent knowing how much power being put on the ball from 19 actually reduced a lot of the unpredictability of the shot- low kicks were impossible to score
But if your playing friends in kick-off now, they can exactly see where you are shooting. So they can move the goalkeeper to catch every single shot.

I just mastered it today. Go really slow. Go to skill games and click set pieces. Try moving it really slow. And then when you shoot, it locks. But for penalties, u have to hold it in place where you want it, that's hard, so practice in skill games.

I just like that the run up and kicking motions are more realistic in Fifa 20. 19 was pathetic in that regard. It was very clunky.

Haven’t scored a free kick since I bought Fifa 20 in September 🥴
NaSqr P I scored one today by using one of these techniques and i must say: you gotta practice A LOT, cuz the goal i scored was probably luck cuz i was trying to curve the ball different than i did before but it went in lol
