Thanks for the video, most videos say to use L1/LB and when talking about skill moves they never mention that the direction you player is moving depends where you start the trick for example doing the ball roll going toward goal you flick it down but going straight up u flick it towards the goal being a complete beginner I never knew this information and couldn't understand why I couldn't do tricks consistently and so I could improve my game only get better at quick passes and scoring. Recently I've noticed I've gotten a lot better and I've won a few games of fut champs and even though people say FIFA 20 is broken and isn't skill based but Id like to think that it's me and I'm improving because at the end of the day there's always been some FIFA aids where everything you do just fails (hitting the post 4 times before your counter attacked and they score)

Not gonna lie, I've been struggling in Fifa lately and this has completely turned the game around for me. I always knew it existed, I just didn't think it was worthwhile, but it's stupid how this is so effective at completely changing how your team plays.
This is the best tip and explanation i've seen for FIFA 20 so far.

When I both press LT+RT at same time. Initially I control my ball after that when I try to change my direction ball goes far away from me. Donno what's the problem is here ?
I play on PC with an Xbox controller and I hold LB for controlled dribbling. Maybe try that.

L Stick dribbling is the best its ever been, but so is jockey. So its pretty good balance in that this year
Was this tip useful? O yes! What an eye opener to me. Sad that these things can't be found in the control guide in game. Either you sprint, or you cover the ball with the buttons. Combining them in ball possession is a new thing to me at least. Thanks!
i used to be good at left stick dribbling (without right stick skills), rarely pass the ball, even using defenders like messi. Until fifa 19 hits

L2 only is guarding of the ball. You'll guard against the direction of your left stick

The dribbling with the left stick only is an illusion. You cannot beat contain with just the left stick. You will lose possession instantly.

I used this a lot back in 18 and it was just 1 button to press, now I hate it that they changed it to two button pressed. Why making it harder when they can't even make their servers better ??? Button presses have a chance to not being registered now when you have delay…….

I thought I was the only one who does this type of dribbling I try and outsmart or try and do unpredictable turns I find players find it hard to get the ball off you
What's the L2 & R2? I've seen several videos on RUclips saying use L1, R1, L2, R2 for different offensive/defensive plays but not everyone uses the same control configuration, as an example, a friend uses triangle to shoot while I use square, I use L2 to sprint, he uses R2, etc. (yeah, we are weird like that haha)

Yeha I hate it. I often like to play aggressive attacking football and I have to adapt to players who can dribble like that or they just kill me
I feel that EA needs to remove a lot of the animations they've incorporated in the game; strip away the slow registering moves and make a more generalized game where the movements are constantly fluid and responsive, and the responsiveness needs to be higher when it comes to online gaming.

L1 is more feints, so better to use for shoulder drops than majority dribbling

Is it me or nobody really plays with manual controls? As far ias Ive seen all videos seem to go full assisted. Would like some advice as well since I enjoy more the feeling of being succesfull with semi or manual, albeit im still getting used to it. I always played that way on older FIFAs but now ive lost so much practice :/

I have a really important question ... I use custom buttons: R1 for sprint instead of R2.. my question is: when I do a skill movement like the slow dribbling or any other skill move and it is required to use the R2, in this case I use the r2 as it is the default in the skill move or I use the R1 since I switched it with the R2?? Can any body answer this please because I am really confused and I would be more than thankful for your help! ❤
