  • Here is a full cassette transfer for your enjoyment and edification. Because it is both rare and a social movement artifact, sharing it in it's entirety seemed to be the correct thing to do. Hopefully, a few copies have been stored at one serious media archive or another.
As I understand it, this was recorded towards the tail end of The Great Peace March for Global Nuclear Disarmament which concluded in Washington DC on November 15, 1986, after a 3,700 mile trek across this radioactive superfortress of a nation. The march lasted nearly as long as a full term pregnancy.
    [Text from tape:]
"Recorded live in Bedford, PA, October 2, 1986
by Don Bell Recording, Pgh. PA
    Produced by Anne Feeney
All proceeds benefit non-profit feminist and disarmament groups.
Take the positive energy from this tape and use it to TEACH PEACE.
REMEMBER: CHILDREN EXPECT THE WORLD FROM US."

This is all one sound file (for my convenience) but originally appeared with a side 1 & 2 as most magnetic oxide-based cassette tapes tend to do:
    [side 1]
    1. Stand Up
    2. Bridget Evans (Also on a Judy Small LP called "Mothers, Daughters, Wives."
    3. We March On
    4. Benjamin's Song
    5. War Toys
    6. Come Spinning Down
    7. Circle
    8. This Little Light
    9. American Way
    [side 2]
    10. Missile Envy
    11. Progress
    12. Ain't We Got Protection
    13. My Little Sister
    14. Tis A Gift
    15. Real World
    16. Farewell

If you wanna jump into the deep end of ecofeminist awesomeness rather than take in the entire cassette, I'd recommend "American Way" ---> "Missile Envy" (19:40 to 28:19).
