- Hello and welcome to a new trip report.
Today we are flying onboard of Edelweiss Air to Mahe (Seychelles).
Edelweiss offers 3 classes on their long haul flights.
I wanted to try the premium economy this time, and what can I say, it was a really nice flight.
Edelweiss Aibus A340-300 are in a good condition.
I was suprised that the plane is really quiet in flight.

Good camera skills and love your cockpit footage. Crew must be doing a turn around hard to imagine them having a one week layover
The seats looked really comfortable! You had some nice shots of the the wing too. I love the four engines on the A340!

i had exactly same plane same registration for my flight Zurich las Vegas i get a 4 middle raw seats for myself in economy.
Very good video. I watched it because I'll be flying Economy Max (seat 1A) to Buenos Aires in August and wanted to know about it. I hope my flight will be as good as this one.

Nice review! Pretty interesting to see a Premium Economy Cabin that is located in front of the Business Class Cabin! :)
I don't think any other airlines has that kind configuration in their cabins :)

Its because they got the A340 from Swiss Int. and they had a first class in the front so edelweiss changed the first to premium economy ;)
I'm looking this last row. Was there a bathroom directly behind the seat and were there much noise or smell?
Really good video! I am about to buy a ticket to Rio with Edelweiss so I wonder if you would comment on the level of recline and overall seat comfort. I have flown in Premium Economy with British Airways, EVA Air and Virgin Atlantic, all have larger, different seats with deeper recline about 8 inches. I am aware that seats in Economy Max are the same as in Economy but with more recline and better legroom. Flights to Brazil are operated with the a330-300 where the Economy Max cabin starts from row 7, behind Business but curtained off from regular Economy.
Based on your video it looks like the overall experience was great! Please report on the return flight in case you are still in the Maldives. Thank you!
Thank you very much. The seat is very comfortable. As you mentioned, it is the normal Economy seat but with the more seat pitch and more recline. What makes it special on the A340 that the Eco max cabin is located in the front. But funny, I also want to book the Edelweiss flight to Rio, they have really good fares in Business Class too. You have to fly from Paris via Zurich to Rio, but you get the ticket for 1200€ . And I have been to the Seychelles, Mahe. Maldives is Male ;). Enjoy your flight

Hehe. Male and Mahe is quiet simular. I haven't recorded the return flight as a trip report, but I filmed the beautiful landing to Zurich with the amazing Alps in best weather. I will put it online soon. Have a great weekend too!

edelweiss airlines is not very big.

Edelweiss is, in my opinion, like SWISS, not a "premium" airline. If you want to fly really premium, try QUATAR or Singapore Airlines. And the Airbus A340 is today an o!d granny.

I like to fly on old grannys like the A340.
