Have a flight on LX 6 in a few weeks, came across this and I can confidently say this is one of the best flight reviews out there on RUclips, good work brother! Hopefully, I can do a review for my upcoming flight in a way like this, cheers! :)

Let me explain slightly better about the “ding”.
Each airline manual will tell you something different but the basics are the same: the most critical phases are take off and landing. Once you hear the “ding” cabin crew now know that the gear is up and the most critical phase is over. Vice versa for landing: cabin crew should be focussed and prepared for a possible emergency and how to respond.
Airlines can decide to either have this noise or not on their Airbus aircraft.
What will also happen is that the exit signs above the doors/emergency windows will switch off after take off or on before landing with gear retraction/deployment.
Try to pay attention on your next Airbus flight!

They’re actually better vs the average seats out there. Perhaps you refer to the A320’s seats?
@@TheLayoverAviation i mean A330. I flew with them to Mumbai on this aircraft type and I was about to start crying. Also because I am 190 cm tall.

Absolutely angree with you Mohmmed. It’s unfortunately becoming the new normal at certain low cost to make it so tight just to make more profit. Not very human. Europe went from 32” standard to 28, even in some “Business Classes”

I've always enjoyed the Zurich airport both for an end destination or to transfer going to Italy from DFW. Then AA dropped the flight and I switched to DL from ATL. Zurich is very clean and has many nice stores.
I fully agree with you. Along with Munich, Copenhagen and (unless mega crowded) Amsterdam the best airports to transfer in Europe, IMO.

Movenpick ice cream is great, i love their vanilla, strawberry, and caramel ice cream.
I’ll see if I can get it somewhere, it sounds good indeed.
Wish I had known before, to ask the crew as a joke if they have it. Their mental reaction like; we are on a plane, not an ice cream parlour..?!

Great video! Thank you! I love Swiss, only been on their short-haul flights, but I love the fresh catering and friendly service. Since the pandemic, I only travelled on TK and KLM, watching your video made me excited, but also somewhat melancholy as I want to travel again like I did pre-covid. In my opinion Swiss is undoubtly the best european carrier, very reasonable prices and the best onboard service, plus ZRH is awesome. Can´t wait to fly them again. Great videos!!

I know that animals can also be on a plane with the cargo, but I never thought that passengers could hear them. Poor the dog, and also passengers onboard!
Love ZRH Terminal 8 6am and noon rush hour when flights all come in and push back at the same time. My top 3 hubs to transit.
I agree, top hub to visit in Europe. Along with Amsterdam and Munich.
Switzerland is expensive, not for everything though. You have to look at the whole picture, what people earn, the value of the currency, which city you live in, etc Zurich is dear but at the same time they also earn more there than other places. Also some countries like to rip us off because they are under the illusion that all Swiss are rich, which is not true. I saw a list somewhere a couple of weeks ago stating there are 8 reasons why our country is more expensive than other parts of Europe. I need to find that list again. I used to live in Sydney for a long time but moved back to Switzerland in 2008, i missed my mountains, i live in the east part of the country. Love it!
You are completely right.
It all depends on each individuals’ situation.
My opinion is mostly based on the regular Joe transferring in ZRH or visiting, not for the lovely Swiss citizens.
Water is a comodity I am forced to buy at airports as I need to carry plenty on flights. And maybe a sandwich. So I kind of compare the prices based these basic items. And trust me, I’ve seen insane prices at airports.
I perfectly understand why you missed home, your country is breathtaking. I’ve been constantly moving and still there is no bette place then home.

I love how they served Mövenpick ice cream as their second service. I personally prefer an ice cream over the usual chicken/veggie wraps.
The ice cream is indeed a nice touch, specially when watching a movie.
And I like how Swiss promotes Swiss products, such as Mövenpick, their cheeses and even some commercials on the ife.

Very well made video. Yes, SWISS is famous for their inflight service but in our case they goofed royally when we were coming back to Dubai from Zurich in 2005 (ZRH-DXB-MCT flight, don't know if they still operate this sector even now). We had pre-ordered/pre-booked Asian vegetarian meals but at the time of serving the meals (some time after taking off from Zurich), we were told that they do not have any asian veg meals for us. That really took us by surprise and we were wondering how to handle the hunger of our 5 year old daughter. Must admit that the cabin crew apologized and immediately swung into action by providing us with some couscous dish with vegetables. Have not flown SWISS ever since. Also I don't remember getting any swiss chocolates. One more query - I fail to understand why special meals such as asian veg, kosher etc are given much before to people who had pre-ordered them and not with other meals. I am sure there must be a logical reason but I am not aware of it.
The logistics behind special meals and providing them to the right person on the right flight are absolutely massive. I’m sure the whole system has improved from back in 2005!
It’s easy to give pre-ordered meals first as they come loaded in special containers away from other meals and are loaded together in the same oven. This is for the crew to easily count them and ensure they are on board. It would be a hassle to mix them with ordinary meals and deliver them together with non requested meals.
There are some interesting documentaries on youtube about this topic.

They’ve never really done that to me. I think that if your bag looks ok they won’t weigh it..

I know, right? And guess what happened to me yesterday: the aircraft had to go up a slope but without enough thrust; so it started reversing bakwards. And there were falcons on a passenger seat! My first time I see a B787 reversing. You’ll see soon!

Why the heck would you choose Swiss over Emirates to go to dubai 🤦🏻♂️ I would fly to the US with Emirates rather than Swiss, even if I would have to fly back to dubai first or fly from Milano to JFK with Emirates. Swiss is just way overpriced with bad costumer service.
Hey Cris, living in Dubai Emirates already is my choice of airline 50% of the time. It’s nice to try others for a change too😅. The more the better!
@@TheLayoverAviation I can understand that ☺️ I only fly other airlines when I have to but I’m always open minded. The thing is I live in Switzerland but I spend many months of the year around dubai. I just think we get a lot more from Emirates for what we pay, Swiss is many times the opposite unfortunately.
Departing from Switzerland with Swiss to Dubai will always be more expensive than flying Swiss from another country to Dubai, did you know that?
On this occasion I was connecting from Frankfurt.
The same goes for me: Flying Emirates from Dubai is usually the most expensive choice if I want to go direct somewhere.

@@TheLayoverAviation yeah I know unfortunately….. it’s how main airlines from most countries work. A few of my friends work at FlyDubai and they have also good routes in their system to be honest 😊
