Not just the music but the the two musicians, the way they move you can tell its not acting its pure enjoyment of the music they produce, compare it to most music videos of current day artists, these two love their music, its their passion and because of that we feel it in the music. these songs may be covers but their love of their work, their instruments, their music ascends the covers to a higher level that reaches our very soul.
Now, it is 21st of May, I'm 15 and I play violin. I always want to play like 2cellos. I work a lot but on my own. There are so many things and techniques that I don't know. So it is hard to learn correctly and improve them. Because of pandemic, I can't go anywhere and there isn't any person to teach me them. But I am determined and I will find a way to play like 2cellos. Btw I am glad to make this comment on this 'Demons' video. Love u guys, always.
If it's any help, I played violin to diploma level for 14 years. My biggest tip, would be to teach yourself to memorise music fast. Getting off the page enables you to not just hear yourself play, but also embrace the music. One of my mentors taught me to have a story for every song you play. I once played a Romance by Elgar but it was such a sad and heart wrenching tune. I gave it a story that maybe Elgar loved someone but that love wasn't reciprocated, so the song was lamenting that unrequited love. You put so much more heart and energy into your playing then. Also, good on you for takin up violin. It is not an easy instrument. If you haven't heard of her, give Lindsey Stirling on youtube a watch. She's phenomenal on her violin. Wish you all the best :)
