I’m just thinking about how one of these days so much of what we order can be just buying the 3D model and printing it yourself. I’m sure it’s already a thing but not fully mainstream yet mainly because of the cost of these printers. Like how computers were in the 80s. They were a thing just not in every home till late 90’s. I was a lucky one and got one in the early 90’s in my home. Doubt I could afford a 3D printer.
Well that depends on your perspective of affordable... My first 3D printer is an ender clone I got for $150(?)... Sold some stuff made from it and it paid for the next printer
I’m not in the hobby but from what I do know there’s already a number of decent affordable 3D printers. I think the biggest obstacle for a newbie at the moment isn’t cost but the learning curve required to get decent prints, and many printers will benefit from further tinkering. Maybe one day those issues will be rectified to make it more accessible to the layman consumer, in the same way I can buy an ordinary paper printer or computer and start using it at home with a very basic knowledge of IT.
@@cy-one I kind of doubt it, but I’ve never personally ordered a 3D printer and learned to use it nor am I familiar with that particular model, so I’m not going to argue.

@@DonsArtnGames you can dial the settings on the Ender though. I have both Ender and Bambu from Kickstarter. Advantage of Bambu is auto calibration and it is a speed demon.
