I think the best Critical Thinking is when you have evidence to prove reason of thought or action. A good example is in the video when the boss ask two employees the same question on how to improve the company advertisement for more profit the upcoming year and the young lady waited a day to respond in which she presented facts from research. The young man eager to please gave no thought, just blurted what he thought was best (hoping he would be recognized for a speedy response) and what his boss wanted to hear.
It's funny how many of the people I've met who claim to be critical thinkers, really just passively accept arguments given to them other people who claim to be critical thinkers.

Columbus was trying to reach India! People have known the earth was round for thousands of years. There might have been flat earthers then (as there are now) but everyone with a shred of learning knew it was round.
Pretty much the best way to determine if someone is just claiming to be a critical thinker. A critical thinker would check if an argument he makes is actually true or just hearsay.

There were three other students in the group, not four other students (assuming all students that were in the group were shown, including myself -- after thinking about it critically). How can I believe anything else you said if you go this wrong! Just kidding. I was gonna say, "Great Summary of Critical Thinking" but then I thought critically about it and decided I had no great reason to believe it was a great summary of critical thinking. How do we account for reason. How do we know that reason is reasonable. We don’t. It’s just an assumption

Look up Christian Apologetics. Christian philosophers/apologists who actually use reason and logic to provide arguments for their belief.
