Jan, I believe only you can turn manure disposal into a learning experience. You are unique in that no matter what you do on your farm, you maintain an indefatigable sense of joy at accomplishment. Bravo. I am always amazed at how you maneuver those big machines into and around such small spaces. Your Father must be a patient teacher/mentor. Thank you for another great show.
Honestly your parents must be so proud, you are a knowledgeable and hard working. Your work is so interesting and your videos are awesome to watch. As some have said you make watching manure hauls fun to watch!
How come u know so much it’s truly amazing. When you love what you do you lean fast about it and you treat your machinery with respect as you do with the ladies
Great video. Like Lewis said below, you make "manure interesting - nobody does it better than you." Blessings to you, your family, and the crew working on your farm. Stay safe, and stay strong.
I love manure! I grew up on a farm. Manure is an important product. Everyone uses some chemicals, but the manure keeps the soil alive. Good work, good farm videos. Almost 70,000 subs. Be proud! You did that!
Bravo on your videos- they are really getting amazing and very professional looking. You make it look easy/ but I’m sure that it takes a lot of planning in advance and a ton of editing before you post it online. I can only hope that with experience, all of this is getting easier for you. Thanks again for posting .
As a city feller, I was always aware that manure was a part of farming. But after watching your entire series, I became very aware of how ever-present it is. And I find it interesting to see how farmers find ways to make it a beneficial product. Who'd a thunk'd it?!! :D Always love your vids! Thanks much.
Great shots Jan. Love the high flying manure, looks like a circus act, smell would probably diminish the paying crowds😜. I appreciate the thought and efforts that you put into your videos. Thanks for sharing, .
I love a good shit slinging Tuesday, at least when it’s from Jan or Eric 😂 I must say Jan’s videography was top notch awesome! Thanks for sharing. Stay safe and stay awesome 😎
Like the roof/windshield for the two first pens. Want to build something like that for my future sheep💪🤩 Nice work! Getting really good at filming/editing. Love the intro and all your drone footage 😆
Wow you look like s totally different person with your hat turned around the correct way don't think I have ever seen you wear it that way before.... Another great vid thanks
I could back into that second pen just like you did, but it would probably take me several hours and something scratched or dented in the process. LOL Good job Jan, interesting and informative video as always! Thank you.
You can see the steam coming up from the straw pack. I have to say your videos are like being in dairy farm college. So much interesting information about what you do on your farm. Nice to have AC in the tractor. does it have cup holders too? Gotta love the weather. It is always there to make work interesting. Thanks as usual for the great video, you are a great young man.
On your water valve that you closed so the AC worked. Try leaving that valve about a 1/8 or 1/4 turn open. The AC should work in the spring and you would still have a little heat for the mornings. We do that on the old semi's and it works for us. In the summer then close the valve all the way. Good video 👍👍👍✌️
So if anyone was ever wondering @5:20 is pretty much what it looks like to stuck in a “shit storm” (sorry for the four letter word) but honest to god......., I have never had a moment where I could use that term and have it being THAT relevant LOL
Hey Jan, awesome video as we know it from your channel. Bonus Points for testing if the camera is manure proof. And its good to see that herd of your followers is growing quick. Interesting to see that your manure waggon has an hitch/drawbar suspension. Ideas for your channel, make some POV Clips from your view, or strap an camera to one of your calmer ladies, cowpoint of view .. the milking, a day in a barn.. i chewed my breakfast .. again. Show the crop growing progress, and explain even more to the ppl that farmers not only feed the local ppl, since a lot of stuff is exported, they feed the whole world. and this is visa versa.. Doesnt matter if its a dairy farmer in Canada, who´s cheese/Milkpowder will be sold to south america, or an ricefarmer in asia who produced the rice you can buy at our local supermarket, or the coffeefarmer in africa.. who supplies us with the GoGoJuice.. the economy relies more on caffeine, as ppl imagine.. Do an Tour to your dairy, (if that corona stuff is other) show the ppl the process from the utter to the gallon jug. Install a webcam at the cow brush... i bet ppl would watch it... I would .. Livestream? With Q&A? Brian, the welkers, and the Larrsons were fun to watch. And I really like your T-shirt, I run a construction business, and will totally steal that design. Regards from germany, and keep the time diffrence in mind if you do a livestream.
Now that's what you call a steaming pile of shit! I'm blown away by your cinematography. Awesome slomo shots. Loved the closeup of the crap coming out of the spreader and on the bucket.
Jan, couple questions- how come that 2nd pen had all that water in it, it can't do cows feet any good walking about in it, being soft or digital derm- hairy warts I think you call it and did you bed that 1st pen up with straw before moving the cows back in?
Closing in hard on 70 k subscribers! Congrats Jan! Keep up the great videos, do you still have all the steers or have they sold? Is the cattle market struggling in Canada 🇨🇦?
It would be beneficial to your cows if they did not have standing water in their corrals. You should grade your corrals so that the dirt has a built in slope which will not allow standing water. That way your cattle can not stand in or lay down in standing water when they are in the corrals. You may have to haul in fill dirt to create a gentle slope that force's the water to drain out of the corrals. That would be a permanent fix for the cattle.
Hi I am new to watching your videos.. Loving it as it helps the long days in lockdown go by more quickly..so thank you :) I am watching from Australia. May I asl how many employees do you have and are you the owner of this fascinating farm?
The heating system in tractors cars and trucks use coolant from the radiator to heat the heater core in the cab and the fan blows air across the core therefore heating the cab and by closing that valve you are stopping the flow of coolant to the core and then allowing the Freon gas from the air conditioning system to go to it's core therefore allowing it to cool the cab
I'm going to jump on the manure theme in the comments. I have never seen manure spread in slomo before and I don't know if I really needed to? Jan, you continue to reinvent the wheel. I could smell that manure pack dumping into the spreader!
I've been watching your content lately hehe 👍🏼💜🐄🐮🚜🇨🇦 Hi from Indonesia 🇮🇩 Nice t-shirt! Is it part of your merch and design? Because I'm (kinda) free illustrator, part painter (past) and part graphic designer hehe I like it alot. Where do I got that design? Should I save image only instead of me buying it? You know... When I open a clothing website and click view image..? Or maybe I can screenshot this and keep it for myself as a collection lol
These videos are awesome, and I agree with what everyone is saying about the cinematography, but goddamn - the music sounds like a public announcement intro from 1984.
Hey DK how did you come up with SaskDutchKid and as always your filming is good you clean out all the manure will you fill back up with straw so whats next for DK keep up the good work and see you in the next video 🤔🐄🍼🍦🍨😋😉
They have a straw pack that they put down and the cows stand and lay on and when that gets soiled they add another layer of bedding so there are dry spots that the cows hang out on.
That was a good vid, you must change 3 times a day, and that's all good. The girls find you to be a hot farm boy. We hope the rain misses you till the seed is in so you can relax a little. Peace.
Dutchy, the real measure of an agricultural videographer is making manure interesting - nobody does it better than you.
Lewis Lindsey hahaha well thank you!!

I know im probably being super picky but it isnt fermentation, it is composting. Totally different chemical and biological processes ^^
Nothing better then getting rid of buckets of shit 😂
Do you have any future plans to build more free stall barns to replace the Corral's?
Hey DK how did you come up with SaskDutchKid and as always your filming is good you clean out all the manure will you fill back up with straw so whats next for DK keep up the good work and see you in the next video 🤔🐄🍼🍦🍨😋😉
I just got a quick question, Are those cows fine and not minding living in a wet corral?
They have a straw pack that they put down and the cows stand and lay on and when that gets soiled they add another layer of bedding so there are dry spots that the cows hang out on.
@@ellengallerani9836 Thank you for the information
How do you find the Bunning spreader? I used to use their equipment 30 years ago and found it well made and reliab
Adrian Handbury it’s excellent equipment! My only wish was that we had a bigger one!
why don't you have concrete flooring in your corrals for easy muck clearing ?
Nice
Im From canada ontario

Automatically add Turkish subtitles.I am watching closely🐄🐄🐄,thank you.
How do you decide what jobs to do each day? Do you and your dad talk or do you just know what to do?
You start really early! When do you wake up to run a farm of that size?
That was a good vid, you must change 3 times a day, and that's all good. The girls find you to be a hot farm boy. We hope the rain misses you till the seed is in so you can relax a little. Peace.
How muck money do it take to make the pens in USA dollars
