It still amazes me that I am so hooked on farming videos. Never knew there was so much to learn and you are one of the most articulate ones on here. Thanks for taking the time to make these for us to enjoy and learn. Your sister did a gentle job of dumping the calf into the pen.
Sister played it smart - have Jan go in and get the baby calf, so she can stay safe and clean. A mother cow and other cows in the pen have known to attack or protect their baby (happened to me), just like most mothers would almost to their own peril or death.
When I was young I would play with trucks and tractors. You get to do it for real. How much fun is that? You never grow up. I know you work hard, just saying. Thks for all your hard work with the Vids too. We all enjoy!
I’ve been watching for a while truly an inspiring video do you young guys have a good head on your shoulder not like what I see in other states and countries you guys you and the 10th generation farmer most well handled young men I’ve seen in a long time God bless you and both your families because we need more people like you God bless
Been watching you for awhile now. Continues to amaze me all that has to be done oh, and all that you know how to do! And I wonder what you would look like without your hat!! Be safe!
Awesome video!!! I love that you showed more detail on everyday operations and what buttons you press. Very cool to get to see. Absolutely fascinating! Thank you!
Te first and last views of loading the manure were awesome. The camera attached to the outside of the cab showed a good perspective. And of course the side view showing the full load process. Love the videos!
Hey from the UK. Bunning are way the best. Used West and others while contract driving but the Bunning gives a lovely even fine spread, no big lumps. Filmed a muck spreading sequence for my channel to upload next week - you’ll see what a beautiful job the Bunning does. Keep up the good work 👍👍
I think we should see more of your sister! We had a spreader with horizontal paddles. On a windy day the damn manure would blow back at us.(We didn’t have a cab on our IH 756...showing my age lol)
10 th generation recommended this site a couple of weeks ago. At first I wasn’t sure but I heard this young man say thank you to an employee and this young lady said yes please to what I think is her brother you see that so rarely with this generation that I now watch religiously and will recommend it to my family and friends Luca
What do you think of the GoPros what tape will would you suggest to me I am right now using my phone to videotape and I'm thinking of getting a GoPro but I don't know what tape This is for the 10th Generation farmer and Sask Dutch kid
@@10thgenerationdairyman ok i think i will look at one trying to do it on a phone is getting on my nerves. I've been youtubing for a year-and-a-half now. On a phone its better then nothing but the bade thing when storge gets full you can't pull the SD card out and put a new one in the otherwise you would lose all your memory.
The 9 has that front screen so you can see what your filming while your filming it. Maybe a bit better stabilisation but for the rest i dont know. That other camera is sweet tho! its a Sony A7III and you can get some cool shots with it but its pretty annoying to drag all over the farm when your working. Gotta make sure nothing happens to it where with the gopro you can pretty much drive over it and itll still be good.
Love your videos, next time unhooking the manure spreader try pulling the pin once the jack barely hits the ground they usually no pressure on the pin then. Our hay roller does the same once it’s lifted off the draw bar the weight of the implement shifts it over putting pressure on the pin. Have a good day I’m from Tennessee.
Great video again Jan. Nice to see details on the manure spreader. Nice to see the CASE with the spreader running and shifting soo smoothly on the road👍 Nice to explain that the vertical rotors work so well, for making fine particles. Nice to see how it works with the minerals in the new setting. Fantastic to see the safe bull calf operation with yr family, the two of you can't do any better 👌👍😎
Awesome video's Jan ,Great job you're doing.! I'am a former dairyguy 30 some years or so, and of course after my dairy carrier. I start working for a dairyman again, 🤔 basically doing a lot of loader work, like feeding, bedding, manure,dirt,sand,staw/hay rd bales. It's feels like I am on this loader all day long . It's the same model as yours ,also our feedwagon is the same and we use sand bedding, double 12 parallel, Anyway, keep up the fantastic video's 👍
I continuly fine your complete indefferance to fecal matter disturbing, but you make such good videos that explains so many processes of dairy farming so well I will always come back for more ....Keep up the great but shitty work !!!!! big fan!
@Paperwing That could be true, the geese are probably several generations into Common Core math, so surely all future hope is now lost for all future generations of geese.
I live in EU. Poland to be exact, and u are the first person that is going slow just becouse of weight. We usually drive vmax regardles of tonnage. Our corn sillage team is going usually 50km/h (31mph). And tehy have i think about 8-10T tractors, with 5-10 (depends what type they have avible) ton trailer with fully loaded sillage . No one ever thinked about going slower :P
Thanks for the geese flock photos! New momma looked l8e a first calf heifer with a lovely udder. Just ask Jan how many different ways to haul manure! Great shots in your video. Thanks for the ride.
Hi Jan, just a tip I find it easier and quicker (and better for the knife) if you use an angle grinder to get the string off the beaters. Especially if there's a lot of it
Blow torch isn't the safest due to fire hazard - one of the biggest threat on a farm. An OLFA blade is also a lot cheaper and most farm workers always have one in their pocket(s), however I wore gloves while cleaning the beaters this last fall of 2020. Just can't stress enough the part about protecting your hands, eyes, lungs etc. Use it or lose it.
Bunnings do larger 3 axle as well holds 38,000 kilos. It was used in a TV show Top Gear ( car show if you not seen) to shred a large Volvo station wagon 😁😁
Man, Milwaukee tools really needs to send you some stuff. Like a couple impacts ratchets grease gun. Deboss cant be the only canadian to get free tools from milwaukee.
Hey Jan would like to see first time milking for some of these stubborn 2 years olds first time in the parlour and such. It was always a bit of a battle for a lot of these fresh new heifers?
Hi Jan great vids as usual, I did think about it a few times and that is, why doe you guys not get a sillage cutting bucket. It keeps the face of the pit nice and flat so air can't get in it. We have a 10 year old one and it still does a really good job. Cya
Great video Jan - lots going on, as always - never boring!! The new camera is VERY clear. Good the see the new calf that you and Miriam are caring for with lots of TLC - well worth it!!
Gloves are more of a pain in the arse, you would learn after trying to use them that you will have sweaty hands, cant steer using gloves, plus he isnt grabbing the manure with his hands so no reason to wear them
I can sit on my deck and smell manure and that make it real. I’m surrounded by the farming community. I don’t mind at all first time I’ve experienced smell a video.
Was the lagoon ever pumped low enough for you to take the case loader and finish cleaning it out by dumping it over the side and picking it up and loading it into the solid manure spreader?
I laugh so hard when you said don't look up when those birds flew over, them buggers open up their Bombay doors your in trouble. SPLAT! Good video Jan Aloha from the Big Island 🤙🏼
Hey Jan ✌🏻 Question: Does the MX285 feature automatic shifting gear or is it some kind of variomatic? I wondered because of the sound she made when you accelerated 😅

Another good video Jan. Sister was a smooth operator to avoid the internet slinging crap her way.
The amount of work that goes into a gallon of milk at the grocery store is staggering. Thank you for all the hard work and the entertainment.
That Go Pro has such smooth shots! The detail of the Sony is hard to deny but it's so easy to watch when the stabilization is good like on the Go Pro.

Pretty sure we need to find a new game. Lol! Messed up by the 4 min mark!
Would love a video on what all you do to a calf after they are born, like the different ear tags, castration etc.

That was an amazing flock of geese.
When they fly in a "V", why is one side always longer?
Because there are more geese on that side.
