I just watched the Batman Begins now, I used to watch this scene when I was a kid, when I watched this for the first time I was hella confused because it became night and then I watched the train falling scene in Batman Begins now I know.
According to the pop-up factoid subtitle track on the DVD, early versions of the scene actually had Spider-Man failing to save the train, and the train went off the track and crashed into some tankers. Obviously, the scene was later changed as production went on.
For all the people saying the ending is fake: considering the last scene is from Batman Begins, I think everyone and their mom knows that and it doesn't take magic to see that.
So in the second it took Spider-Man to trip over, night just suddenly falls. Because that's how long it takes for a train to find the end of a railway.
