Danke für das wunderbare Video, ein großes Bravo für den Mut zur Realisierung des Modells der 'LaHarpe' ! Auch ich besitze das Buch 'Das Erbe der Serenissima', der Anblick des wundervollen Modells im HGM/Wien (wenn auch nicht 'LaHarpe') hat mich aber immer davon abgehalten, erwas Ähnliches, wenn auch verkleinert, selbst zu versuchen! Was mir (als Modellbauer historischer Segelschiffe) an dem Video fehlt sind vielleicht ein paar Kommentare zu Details der Arbeit, z.B. Wahl der Hölzer, Herstellung der Kanonen, Realisierung der Heckschnitzereien, etc., aber sonst: vielen Dank für die Mühe!
Danke für Ihren Kommentar. Leider sind am Video die Innenaufnahmen nicht enthalten. Die Grundüberlegung nur in zwei Maßstäben zu arbeiten, was einen Vergleich der Modelle erleichtert. Dazu ist bewußt auf eine Farbgebung verzichtet, d.h. generell weißer Unterwasseranstrich. Das verwendete Holz ist weitestgehend Linde, das Deck Kiefer. Kanonen und Blöcke zugekauf, da die individuelle Anfertigung zu aufwendig wäre.

Nur noch folgende Denkanstöße: Ich verwende Buchsbaum (ich weiß: teuer und schwer zu bekommen, hat aber unschätzbare Vorteile); Blöcke: die im Handel sind leider scheußlich, ich mache mir daher die große Mühe, sie selbst herzustellen (auch aus Buchsbaum); weiter gutes Gelingen!

Ja, Buchsbaum oder noch besser Flieder; habe beides aber da relativ zeitaufwendig Routineartikel herzustellen, greife ich immer wieder auf im Handel erhältliche Teile zurück, außer wenn diese nicht passen oder erhältlich sind

Those ship are awesome. Do they stick to the actual plans of those models or do they improvise while building? Is it possible to build a ship simply copying the design from photos of a it? I can improvise small boats without any plans but such builds are something else. Also I'm not sure if I could read boat plans correctly because there are too many lines or numbers that are essential to copy the real thing. Where should I start, any suggestions?
