Well, there's something kind of tricky in there. It depends on which version you read. I used to have a copy in which it was indeed a squid. However, in that copy, all the sentences were worded slightly differently from just about every other copy I've peaked into. And in those other copies, the chapter seemed rather inconsistent regarding whether it was a squid (referred to in some editions as pulp) or a cuttlefish.
