The genre of this film isn't going to help her. Toni Collette should have received a Best Actress nomination in 2018 for "Hereditary" and Lupita Nyong'o should have received one for "Us" this past year. Neither of them got it in part with both being horror films. I should note that the last movie where Amy Adams starred in which many people feel should have received an Oscar for was also a "genre" film, although a science-fiction one.
Ursula Lopez-Yanez It’s a book that I finished in a couple days and I rarely read. Easy 4.8/5 stars for interest and intrigue. The writing wasn’t anything out of this world good. But that is not what I look for when reading.

Amy Adams was so good in Sharp Objects, I immediately bought the book. Crushed that. Then I went and bought The Woman in the Window just because Amy’s face is on the cover 😂

I like the ending because it wasn't predictable, but it was one of those endings that's right under your nose. You just gotta look closely.

@@tytiw516 It’s not everybody’s cup of tea cause the story progresses slowly. The ending is also polarizing cause it’s unexpected. But I will say that you shouldn’t subscribe just for this film lol.

@ nocchi, I wonder how unpredictable it is. I haven't watched the film nor read the book. Yet, I guess... Amy eventually finds out the truth of a perfect murder deployment case. Why murder? Usually, people murder coz of (i) money, (ii) hatred, or (iii) insanity.

Kidding aside this was a great book! The classic unreliable narrator with a few twists. Hope it would be a great adaptation!

Amy adams never failed my expectations. I have watched her on nocturnal animals, leap year, arrival, etc. and dang, such a dramatic and massive personality shifts from one character to another. I have been turning on notification for the Netflix release.
I dont usually watch movies based on actors, but Amy Adams almost never agrees to play in bad movies. So I'll definitely be seeing this.
