Do you have, followers have campers that can be donated to Western North Carolina...Many desperately needin homes still..with shelters closing(yep Red Cross ones) and winter coming
I bought my grand design in 2021 brand new. I had researched it and it had all great reviews. My brand new RV was in the service repair shop 3 times in one year. I only used it five times within the year and it it was at the repair shop when hurricane Ian hit the Fort Myers area. It was a total loss. I would never recommend, nor would i buy grand design again. It was so disappointing.
@@GoldenCoffeeLovers I’m sorry to hear that was your experience. If I was your sales person (I no longer sell RVs), I would have likely told you that will be the case with any camper, potentially. New RVs almost always have a few kinks that need to be worked out unfortunately. It’s an issue that’s hard to avoid anywhere. New cars have recalls, new homes have things that fail, and new RVs are the worst of all because we ask them to go through hurricane force winds and earthquake force shaking for hours at a time, every time we move them. I hope that experience didn’t push you away entirely from RVing!
Well nice try here but InTech is the clear winner in my mind. The folding bed - “recliner” set up needs rethinking. Shade/screens should be opposite so you can have some privacy with air flow on the top of the windows. And, you are facing away from those beautiful windows! Don’t know if huge fridge is necessary and I’d rather see 2 vertically placed burners (think pasta & sauce cooking simultaneously). I do most of my cooking outside but when forced indoors, need 2. Bathroom is nice but no shelving in the shower. Like the independent suspension and covered underbelly. 400 watts of solar is excellent! Thanks for the review 👍🏻
Beautiful trailer, but that recliner is a red flag out the gate .. there is no where else to sit, so the recliner being comfortable is a must .. keep up the excellent content
Also, no Lagune tables (and no dinette). That big bathroom does eat up a lot of space. And I was hoping for a slide tray outdoor kitchen from under the bed area.
Definitely would have liked to see some cabinetry or shelving above the cooktop for more kitchen storage. Can't afford to waste any space in such a small trailer and that's quite a bit of empty space there... Either that or I would switch the microwave to above the cooktop and maybe add a couple of more drawers underneath. Could even add a vent hood under the microwave for better ventilation ehen cooking.
This is impressive! I've heard people say it looks bigger on the inside, but this one really does. I had to keep reminding myself of the size of it. The bathroom was a surprise, and the kitchen...and the bed. I can see myself in this one. A couple of things could use improvement. The recliner couch. Besides the things you pointed out it also looks really bulky for a small trailer, esp with the door right there. I've see reclining couches with Murphy beds in other trailers, that would be more suitable. The TV placement isn't great, but I recognize that's the only spot to put it. So, the mount needs to fully articulate and drop down. The stove needs a light for sure. The light from the window works, until you want to cook something after dark.
😅hee hee hee. Your socks were just making me laugh... but I really like this layout and colors! All the windows are great, and I was surprised I liked the bed area even when transforming it into recliners. It still had an spot that the dogs would love! And the separate shower! Wow! One of my top favorite campers now! 🙌🙂👍👍
Good. Finally US RV manufacturers are learning from European models. As a first year model, I think they did a great job except for the bed/recliner issue and the cheap cabinet facings.
I absolutely love it. But i think they should get rid of the pseudo recliners, and put a sofa or storage space. I would want a light and fan over the burner. And an oven. Everything else i love it. Especially the k8tchen and bathroom.
I love this layout but I think the Rockwood Geo Pro G15FBS does it better, it appears to have more counter space, bigger cooktop. Not as nice of a “recliner” but a better system for the bed. Also the geo pro lacks the windows around the bed. But for about half the cost I think it’s worth considering
I love everything about it except the so called recliners/bed. I feel they could have come up with a better idea than what they came up with. Great video!😊
Nice job on your part for an RV that seems like it was designed by folks that don’t do any camping. That weird recliner bed thing is a mess! A ushaped dinette that turns to a bed would be better. That one stove top is nearly useless, imagine using it with no overhead light in the evening, you might need a headlamp to see whats cooking 😂 The countertops will swell like sponges when a little water runs down the sides, like super cheap Ikea particleboard furniture. Wish we could have RV with the slide in to see if you can open frig or even walk to the bathroom. Sorry to say Blue Compass has not been very customer loyal once you sign a deal and your RV leaks water like Niagara Falls and electronics fail on your first trip and they tell you “Sorry but you need to take it up with manufacturer and manufacturer says sorry Blue Compass needs to fix the issues and you end up on Liz Amazing’s RUclips channel for resolution. I think they tried really hard to make it look luxurious with little function and low quality materials 🫣
I feel ( apart from the bed ) the RV is fantastic . I think the toilet shouldve been a cassette one though , youre right , the bathroom is larger . I like the curved wall that encases the bathroom. There should have been a double induction hob along with an extractor. The storage is good . The sofas dopnt work well enough as you found out , and I would be disappointed with the supports of my legs . I feel the mattress could have sunk further into that unit and perhaps length ways against the front wall. making the sofas go back further and allow for better manouverability of the sofa , it should have arm rests too .
Ive spoken to many RV owners and RV folks that rented RV’s with cassette toilets and they all say the same 2-5 gallon cassette toilets are worthless, unless you use it for #1 ONLY and do your #2 at campground restroom.
Recliner is a fail both ways. Also, I wonder why they have a wall beside cook top? Could have had a little more counter space with an L shape and needs above stove light.
I like that GD is taking 2 steps forward by trying nichier designs and visually more pleasing build. But, also taking one step back with half baked engineering and cheapen materials. I would Never buy this, Id grab a new Rpod 200 or a Nash 1700.
Appreciate what GD is trying to do here but nobody should buy this over Intech. This is just a shitty ripoff. TPO roof, wrapped cabinets, wrapped counters, no access to plumbing under the kitchen sink, inadequate slide mechanism for a large slide, and that bed sofa combo is a joke. Just make it a big U dinette that converts into the bed.
@@linkfloyd4908 I agree. I can’t in good faith say that this is better than an inTech. However, it does offer a better bathroom setup for people that can live with those differences and want that larger bathroom. I could see where I would find that appealing.

Thanks for the heads-up. Unacceptable.
If InTech gets independent suspension, it’s over.

Agreed - no room for additional family members and friends that stop for a visit.

Really nice floor plan and warm interior. Sofa probably really comfortable for short people!
I need a little trailer to sleep in plus a few extras like running water hot/cold. I need to get out of the elements too. I like it.
I love our Grand Design. This is a very cool camper for the size.
I absolutely love it. But i think they should get rid of the pseudo recliners, and put a sofa or storage space. I would want a light and fan over the burner. And an oven. Everything else i love it. Especially the k8tchen and bathroom.
Love this design for single or couple campers.
That weld on the bottom is looking ruff
I do not Like how the bed folds and so you see the bottom of the bed with probably sheets and blankets. It's not hidden by the sofa or recliners
Hey look a InTech!
Notice no Grand Design label on it. No wonder with all the bad rep.
Where is a table top to eat off of?
That bed with all the windows around at the same level ? Could not do that .

Like your tours but please stop calling the murphy bed seat a "recliner" since the back does NOT recline.
@@vanvorst1999 should I call them leg extensions? I’ve never heard what else someone would refer to a sofa that has foot/leg rests that extend up.

Looks like good rv for weekenders. I prefer more comfort and space, like 385Res. Enjoy colorado
Sorry but for the PRICE, No Hut with exit ventilation over the Stove? Come on! Who will clean the ceiling? Not for me! You can keep it!
I purchased my GD in 2024 and love it, have already scampered a dozen times. My goal is to chase 70 degrees.😊
@@mopohotos awesome! Stay adventurous!
Intech over this every day. Be original Grand Design.
That slide is a big deal, but built to sell. Id love to see Oliver try something bold like a slide. $ for $, I still go with an old Oliver first.

The sofa is terrible. The pull out pantry shelves are too close together. Has potential but needs some tweaking. Thanks for the video.
Very interesting trailer 🤔…. Something about the bed and sofa area is throwing me off. Like everything else is fine
I'd rather have storage under the seating instead of the recliners.

no dining area?
Those are referred to as incliners not recliners. Those things have been around for decades at furniture stores.

How much?
Nice little unit for quick trips, but price would dictate!

Glass windows don't......
Limiting the life span of these RV's with this use of plastic windows, what happens when they fail?...all plastics do.....
