When you decide to enroll your child in extracurricular activites you ALSO sign up for extra costs including equipment, gear, funding. Thats part of being a parent you incur costs! If you love your child you have two options 1- find the money and make it happen includes inquiring about help for needy families, 2- explain (age appropriate) you cannot afford the activity
"We think she was forced off the team" Yeah I guess if the team won't: buy your daughter a new uniform, pick your daughter up for you and transport her to-and-from events, pay for mini-camp in your place, or let her play whatever position she wants....I guess you could say she was "forced off the team" Lol so entitled
This mom is 🙄🙄🙄. She was in HER feelings and not concerned about her daughter. She constantly said she didn’t have a problem paying, but yet here she is complaining about paying 🙄. I’ve seen kids being pick up and dropped off and they played lousy. It was more of the coach having empathy for the child and wanting them to participate.
As a 25 year Park and Recreation Director I have encountered many, many parents like this mother defendant. Kudos she's gone. Once a parent came up to me after a game and screamed, "The coach is ruining my son's career" He was in the 3rd grade and starting in LF not SS she wanted. I looked at my assistant director who was also standing there and said, "Bill how many 3rd graders do you know with careers?" he answered, "none that I know of" She got pissed and stormed off. LOL
For real. It's petty considering the amount of scams and overpaying we all deal with constantly. This is something so they can all look like a team. Nothing scammy or nefarious. She picked the wrong the battle.
@@swallowedinthesea11You're assuming the poster is rich. Maybe some parents scrimp so their kids can have what they need for extracurricular activities. That's not being rich, it's planning ahead.
Isn't part of playing learning to be a good loser (and evaluate how you can do better) 🤷 and be a good winner 🏆 as well??? Being that upset over losing one game is ridiculous!
Wow..... over a warm up suit. Should have just bought it. I have an 11 year old daughter and let me tell you that I do NOT believe that their daughter said she doesn't want the suit. HAHAHHA
Right? Kids love to dress up in general, so doing so as a team is fun. My kid and the whole team lost their mind over a new bow for their cheer uniform
We had expensive warm up suits for sports and raised money for it by sponsors and fundraisers. Makes it much easier on the families. But, this Karen is Karening.
I raised 7 to adults and they all played sports. It's about the children having fun, exercise in a sport. Parents are horrible, I was a softball coach and referee.
That defendant is in her own world of entitlement and victimhood and is spinning a false reality for her poor daughter. Just listening her fabrication hurts my head. They’re really doing a disservice in how they’re teaching their daughter how to navigate life
The Defendant's are either really poor and too proud to admit that they couldn't find a way to come up with the money for the warm-up suit, or they are just cheapskates and humiliated their daughter to the point that she didn't want to be involved with it anymore. I was the kid with the poor parents that wanted to play sports when I was in school. And there were racial issues also in the schools I attended.
How selfish of the mom! Shes not a coach, how rude to insult the coach. My family was poor growing up an my mom still paid for all my gymnastics stuff, warm up gear, competition outfit. The mom has zero excuses she is a KAREN, to insuiate the coach did something inappropriate on national television?!?! The coach should sue.
Your daughter was not forced off the team. You wanted her off the team. There is a difference. Also, when he called you on the phone, you shouldn't have let your daughter hear the conversation she was seven years old. Learn how to keep children out of grown people issues.
Mom is a busy body. The whole thing they are missing is its supposed to be about the enjoyment of being with a group of kids playing on a team together. Not about the damn track suit. And the parents need to butt out. Their social skills are very poor and showing a crappy example to their daughter. Now airing out this nonsense on TV too will have even more fallout the kid will have to deal with.Glad JM told the parents off.
I was this daughter, that...was my mom. Years and years of narcissistic abuse, embarassment because she threw a fit wherever we went when she didn't get HER way.....I hope the daughter was able to get away from her abuser (the defendant), I never did, just went with my programming of low self esteem and dependence on her, for way, way too long into my adulthood. I wish the worst for this Karen, and a better life for her daughter.
As a former "travel sport mom," I can honestly say that the uniforms are a contentious point of discussion... Each year, there was an "optional" uniform... turns out that they were NOT OPTIONAL at all... Each player needed to purchase them on the off chance that they needed to "guest play" on another team... The real kicker is that each team already had the same jerseys and several pant colors... The "optional" would be pin-striped, so we really didn't have a choice... Clearly, the organization was getting a "kick back" on what was sold... Why else??? Also, the uniforms were sold as a package... Sorry, but unless you outgrew your pants or they're damaged (ripped), why do you need to buy them each year??? White is white, navy is navy, charcoal gray is charcoal gray...
My children have played organized sports practically all their lives, and it's usually the adults who ruin it for the children. The defendant (mom) seems insufferable. My children have played on many different travel teams, and their fees can be astronomical. I'm curious about the other fees they paid just to estimate the total cost because $85 for a customized uniform (as ridiculous as it may seem) sounds standard. I appreciated the teams my children played for because they were very transparent with all fees due upfront. The coaches even set up fundraisers and found sponsors to help families with costs. I was lucky enough where my son's last 4yrs and daughter's last 2yrs were covered because a sponsor provided them with a "scholarship." Lol.(IF you're still reading 😂)I said ALL that to say, it sounds like mom weaponized her child because she knew she was an integral part of the team. There are definitely some parents who provide minimal participation with the games and/or the team(for their own personal reasons), yet expect their demands be prioritized over what benefits the team as a whole. I can bet if her daughter quit, she was partly, if not totally, to blame!
I was a widow raising our two daughters, working full-time and making it to games, and not once would I have infringed upon the coaches or administrators to chauffeur my girls. Entitled parents here.
And I told my children that winning is nice but being on a Team is about team work, responsibility, accountability, supporting eachother. Good sportsmanship😮 My bad.
The fact she kept throwing in comments like "they were more focused on looking good than playing good" tells me a lot. You can do both lady. Kids love dressing up and looking in uniform like a team is fun. Just buy the suit ffs.
I don't remember hearing every breath that a defendant has taken, until this episode. It's got to be because the mom is soooo dramatic! (I swear that she can't keep quiet!)
My daughter plays on 4 different teams at a time. 3 softball and 1 basketball. We always managed to get her from practice to practice if we couldn't get her there bc our son had practice too we made arrangements. If it was away she went with a coach and i paid gas money towards her riding with someone else. We have spent some money on registration fees, equipment, travel, and everything in between. I would never stand in her way to play sports she loves. She has even gotten college offers for sports! 😊

This mom is ridiculous. I'm sure the mom embarrassed her daughter over not wanting to be inclusive 🙄
The daughter was NOT forced off the team!!! The parents took her off for exactly the reasons the judge indicated!!
Yup. If it was the daughters choice, she'd have been there but the mom knew what'd happen if she had to testify.
No, the MOTHER took her off the team.
