I love this integrated chassis design in the X-Maxx, Maxx and now the XRT. So easy wrenching on it. I'd love to see a 4s 1/10th xrt to go with my Maxx!
Where can I locate the product you used in previous video that goes on body edges to strengthen? Can't find link. Looks like car door edge protector but much smaller. Also source for colored wheels for remote... Love your videos
Do you know if the XRT gear cover is backwards compatible with the X-Maxx?! I NEED that for mine! I blew up a pinion gear because the grub screw backed off...
Have you tried a speed run with the speed gears? In a few other videos they have showed that they come with speed gears but haven't seen anyone run them yet.
It looks like you have a great R/C community around you. I wish my local hobby shop cared about anything but their own projects. My local Traxxas dealer does not even do a power-up program anymore they like to push Castle stuff instead.
Your video's always great to watch! The XRT looks like a real good christmas present for myself! 😂 Absolute Traxxas fan and already got the Xmaxx en Sledge, but i am curious about longterm using problemen with the XRT.
More along the lines of letting someone test the durability so it dont break on camera, Traxxas' clause for demos and early products for RUclipsrs. Integrity is what should be given out......... For free
I'm into more scale-looking monster trucks so the XMaxx never interested me, but the XRT is something else. I own an ERevo 2.0 and I bash and race it every weekend. The XRT might be my first large scale RC purchase.
What are you running for the toe links on your 2.0? Stock or upgraded? Changed mine to the black aluminum ones but it unfortunately made the camber of the truck uneven. Thinking about putting it back to stock
I pre ordered one. I wonder when they will start shipping them? Hopefully it's not a scenario like the sledge where it takes some people months to get them.
On my XRT 1st problem was the retaining screw on the upper control arm (both sides L&R)on the chassis side came loose pretty quick (within the 3rd pack) and came out.. caused me to hit a mailbox pole and had to replace the upper a-arm
Hello! I am a newbie in this thing and I just bought the Rustler 4x4, amazing RC car and now I am thinking and doing my research of what next car to buy, I like the XRT very much but I just saw the Sledge, and now I do not know which one to buy, I would really appreciated if you could give me your profesional opinion about what you can recommend between the XRT and Sledge Thank you, I like your content 👏🏼
Hey man awesome channel watch all the time just wanted to let you know that there's some sacamers useing you're pic from RUclips and telling people they have won a rc from you its happened twice now to me I know there fake but I thought you should know man keep up the good work and see in your next video man ✌
Wow so nice i have the sledge and love it and the XRT looks great aswell where is that Traxxas shop you went to might send them a message to see if i can buy 1 from them to send to Australia. As i would think it will be 6months before we get them. I need a friend in the USA i can trust have now been ripped of by 2 guy going to send me stuff and have never got anything. O it's come back to us i have shipped it again yep nothing.
Me and my friends go out to our local BMX track and race every weekend! I bring my ERevo 2.0 and the other guys have an assortment of Maxx/XMaxx/Sledge we have a great time!
G'day Mark I've already watched the speed Run video i've commented about XRT already and got message back from you saying i've won copped some bad feed back about the comments from over people. But I was just giving honest feed back I could not hear it shredding tyres seemed to max out very quickly. In saying that I'd still love to own one
the xrt is the vehicle to have. my question is. who owns Traxxas. is it a bunch of people, just 1 person. are there names to the owners. thanks for video
I don't believe that anytime he children was in danger you got to remember he had a lot of time with it so he felt comfortable and I don't think he even though about it that being said things do go wrong and I would not what that beat hitting anyone so I see where your coming from but let's face it he has way more experience that leads the confidence so thank you for all the comparisons and my head off to you great work on your very informative and in depth comparisons like some dislikes seem sincere do you know if they need two different sets of tires because of the offset a lot of the tracks as I have drive me nuts with this
man I wish I could go back to August an stop myself from buying the 4s Kraton an Outcast, then in October fell for the sale an bought 8s outcast. could have bought the Xrt. and saved a bunch. while all Arrma Rcs are fun to drive the clips to hold the body on an velcro battery straps kill the fun for me. I end up driving my Xmaxx, Maxx an Hoss more than the new ones. we need a Flux copassidor
I want a sledge so bad… I have since they came out a couple years ago. I just can’t afford one. Just like I’ve always wanted a trx 4 but instead I got a hb toys 1011 which is a knock off version from Ali express. I work at chipotle and have to many bills lol. Maybe one day. 😂
Before I get to my primary comment, my LHS received, this morning, their first XRT...yeah!!! After my questions during the 'live feed', I decided to investigate further the possibility/impossibility of converting an X-MAXX to an XRT. As I stated in my final live feed comment ("Converting X-MAXX to XRT isn't possible"), I was correct...and, at the same time, not correct. Delving deeper into the part-for-part comparison, based on the current X-MAXX, converting is possible...but, it would be cost-prohibitive to the point that it might/would be cheaper to just purchase the XRT. However...here's where it gets "interesting".......... Again, looking (visually) at the parts making up the XRT, I'm 99% certain that Traxxas is getting close to releasing an X-MAXX V2...and, if correct (which I'm willing to bet on), the X-MAXX V2 will actually be based on the XRT, to the point that the X-MAXX V2 will be using almost all the same parts as the XRT. The XRT uses 7822, 7837, 7828, 7827, 7838, 7839, 7815/7825, 7720, 7820, 7844, 7727, & 7824, whereas the X-MAXX uses older and/or higher-CoG versions of these parts. Additionally, most of us suspect that Traxxas was already deep in the development of the XRT when they decided to release the "Wide MAXX Kit for X-MAXX, knowing that it was for the XRT, but that it also for the current X-MAXX...it's only all the other 'new' parts (as the XRT uses the exact same drivetrain as the X-MAXX) that are (currently?) XRT-specific. So..........here's what I'd be willing to bet:. During the entire time that Traxxas was developing the XRT, they have also been developing the X-MAXX V2...during which time, they were also wrapping up development of the Sledge. Something that almost everyone who follows Traxxas had learned is, the REALLY hate releasing too many products of the same type at the same time. It's ok to release a large-scale basher at the same time as a crawler...but, it's not ok to release two (or more) large-scale bashers at the same time. They released the Sledge back in March/April...and now, approx 6 months later on the release the XRT. So, I'm guessing, in approx 6 months, they'll be releasing the X-MAXX V2, which will contain a majority of parts shared with the XRT. On top of that, I'd be willing to bet that the new X-MAXX uses a clipless body mounting system identical to the one on the XRT. Anyone up for betting against me?
I tend to agree! My prediction is that they will make an 1/8ish scale XRT sometime soon. With the sledge out we wont see that for a while. I think you're correct about the new xmaxx. They've done a couple things to it but not enough to call it a new version but soon will.
I loved visiting the Traxxas Store when I visited Texas last. Takes your breath away. Thanks for the great videos
Love when I see a new vid, thank you for the content. Just got my X-Maxx today, taking it out this weekend, can't wait!
I like how the Traxxas employees say "Oh maaaan!" when y'all walked in! Lol great video dude!!!
Those new Sledge wheels are SICK!!
I watch all your videos too man keep up the good work you inspire me to keep going in the rc life.
The thing looks amazing. I gotta start saving now. Traxxas is really hitting it outta the park lately.
Open a savings account. Call it rc fun and save throughout the year for when good trucks ect come out.

@@Pyrodavey nice idea
@@Pyrodavey that is a really good idea I may start doing that and just saving a bit in it from week to week and leave it alone for a bit
My favorite is the UDR. The fact that Traxxas did scale in a trophy truck is truly epic.
What an awesome release by Traxxas 👍
I love this integrated chassis design in the X-Maxx, Maxx and now the XRT. So easy wrenching on it. I'd love to see a 4s 1/10th xrt to go with my Maxx!
Hell yeah
Motor looks like a little v8 with the fans 👌
I thought that too, love it!
Thought the same as soon as I saw it lol
Nice video Mark. Loved hearing your thoughts and speed runs. Was waiting for this one!
I enjoyed your videos on this new truck. You were very thorough. It appears to be a a great one.
Where can I locate the product you used in previous video that goes on body edges to strengthen? Can't find link. Looks like car door edge protector but much smaller. Also source for colored wheels for remote... Love your videos
That blue looks AWESOME 👍
Do you know if the XRT gear cover is backwards compatible with the X-Maxx?! I NEED that for mine! I blew up a pinion gear because the grub screw backed off...
Have you tried a speed run with the speed gears? In a few other videos they have showed that they come with speed gears but haven't seen anyone run them yet.
Thanks for all your time and effort 🙏
Don't normally care for all the electric rc but going to buy this one. And it will be the green one. Thanks for your reviews.
I'm a gas/nitro guy as well, but sometimes it's fun to just go rip without having to drain the fuel and perform maintenance after every run.
Love your content man! I recently purchased a XRT and am wondering what would be the best set of wheels/tires you recommend?
It looks like you have a great R/C community around you. I wish my local hobby shop cared about anything but their own projects. My local Traxxas dealer does not even do a power-up program anymore they like to push Castle stuff instead.
Woukd the bearing gear cover fit on an xmaxx?
I think Traxxas is gonna need to expand their retail store. They need room for all these new models and giant trucks.
Oh man I can't wait...my local hobby shop says November the 4th....I will be there when the doors open to get one....
Your video's always great to watch! The XRT looks like a real good christmas present for myself! 😂
Absolute Traxxas fan and already got the Xmaxx en Sledge, but i am curious about longterm using problemen with the XRT.
which park is that? nice place for the bigger ones to run loose!
Dude that store is rc heaven. Anyone know why Traxxas has never tried planes or helicopters. They’ve done everything else
You said you went up to Indy. Are you talking about Indianapolis?
You are awesome Mark I also like Traxxas a lot Thank you for all I Do
*XRT gets announced 2 days ago
MSM: “Yeah, so after 2weeks & 20 packs…”😂😂
Must have been tricky hiding that thing all this time.
More along the lines of letting someone test the durability so it dont break on camera, Traxxas' clause for demos and early products for RUclipsrs. Integrity is what should be given out......... For free
Great video. I have been looking at the Sledge and XRT. This helped a lot, but it is going to be an in store decision when looking at them both. Lol
The sledge is a great size and it is fast.. I’m hitting 59mph w mine.
@lifestuff3857 I did get the Sledge. It's great so far.
@@chef11chef11 it really is the perfect size for most situations. Tuned for a groomed dirt track it really kicks ass.

@@ST1NG_Auto77 I run stock rods and aluminum rod ends. It can be hard to get the exact camber on each tire without a tool to measure.
Man I want to go to the traxxas store now! Haha awesome!
Thank you for this video ❤️, The 50mph verdict is that stock gearing or the optional, never heard you mention it sir.
Mark does it right! Thanks for the XRT reviews!
I got mine on Monday, I Love it... so much fun !
Hey Mark i never see you use belted tires, not a fan?
I pre ordered one. I wonder when they will start shipping them? Hopefully it's not a scenario like the sledge where it takes some people months to get them.
Where is this Traxxas store located at?
Recently followed your channel and love it. Where do you live to have a huge Traxxas store so close. Closest hobby shop is a 2 hour drive here.
can those tires fit the e revo 2??
On my XRT 1st problem was the retaining screw on the upper control arm (both sides L&R)on the chassis side came loose pretty quick (within the 3rd pack) and came out.. caused me to hit a mailbox pole and had to replace the upper a-arm

8S Kraton compare-o?
I want an XRT or X-Maxx so bad, but I cannot decide
The only thing I don’t like about the anodized color matched parts is that if you want to change body colors sometimes they don’t quite match as well.
You did buy the new Sledge wheels?
Hey man awesome channel watch all the time just wanted to let you know that there's some sacamers useing you're pic from RUclips and telling people they have won a rc from you its happened twice now to me I know there fake but I thought you should know man keep up the good work and see in your next video man ✌
Yeah man that is exactly what I’m looking for good information about the XRT because it’s on my list to get one( black limit addition one)!!!!
Bet a short curse truck is in the works with this platform sxrt.
How fast is it with the speed gear?
can it pull a vehical like the xmaxx can?
Yeah bro .🔥👊🏻💪🏻
Can't wait to see someone actually drive it hard
That gear cover should be compatible with the X-Maxx? It may help save gears from being ruined when the pinion comes loose. Hmm
Wow so nice i have the sledge and love it and the XRT looks great aswell where is that Traxxas shop you went to might send them a message to see if i can buy 1 from them to send to Australia. Skate park? Full send?
Thanks for the comparisons Mark
Let me break it in for u mark I'll get a nice big sticker made up for it with your MSM on it 😁👍
Are the battery trays the same size as the X Maxx?
They are basically the same, but they have added a hole you can put a body clip in if you are worried about the batteries coming out.
I’d take the XRT.
Stability is key and I don’t like an RC that flips over or wheelies too much. The XRT is more stable than the other two.
Still was moving quite a bit from left to right
You’ll not break much driving around a field, did you even ramp it?
The formula is trucks for tork and power cars for speed good vid
That shop looks cool the closest hobby shop near me is mikes hobby shop
I wonder how the xmaxx would do with the xrt wheels
I will get one but it's got some big shoes to fill comparing to my 2 exb 8s rigs
Traxxas is killing it so far. They need a 1/8 truck sometime between the maxx and xmaxx
The sledge is 1/8 and basically is
I wish I had an RC shop close to me. I had one for about a month but it shut down....
Great review Mark!!
Imagine having a race series with these super lange truggies
If you saw his last video you will realize that pretty much no tracks are big enough so places would have to build new tracks.
Me and my friends go out to our local BMX track and race every weekend! I bring my ERevo 2.0 and the other guys have an assortment of Maxx/XMaxx/Sledge we have a great time!
Hey mark where is that Traxxas store
McKinney, TX
Great another truck I need to buy...
Good evening brother really nice cars cool video
You are so lucky in the uk we have to wait months for everything
Enjoy the weekend
Why haven't they made a Sledge light kit yet?
Just pre-ordered mine. R.I.P. sledge
How big are the wheels compared to the xmaxx?
They're about a half inch smaller.
Are you in Indiana?
I picked-up a green one on Tuesday, 1/9.

being in Canada so jealous you can walk into at Traxxas store!
Funny ,I live in Santa Maria lol Great video!
That pic says it all total bash dominance
Will this thing pull two kids in there cars
Hey MSM, I saw you loved my comment on the last video. You think that might be a solid idea paired with the Spec Slash series?
R/T means road and track in the auto industry correct? Meaning road and track tires..Can we see that rc on the original mud tire from the Xmaxx???
Mark, wait you follow Strad? Been a fan of his for years...
Thing sounds insane
Always good information
Bro how has it been 2 weeks if u just unboxed your 1st xrt video 2 days ago.?
Traxxas probably gave it to him early. They've been known to do that for channels that showcase their products.
