i was there with some friends and a baby! we weren’t aware of this special event that closed the park at six and we got there at 4 and had a reservation at 5. got out of the park after 6 and got our pictures infront of the castle. the halloween party was sold out so we ended up going to guest relations to upgrade our tickets to park hopper so we could go somewhere else even though it was already 7:30. we were given the tickets and told we were “all set”, so i asked if the tickets were charged to the credit card on my account and he replied with “Mickey paid for it!” absolutely made our trip, wish we were prepared for the halloween party though!
Thank you for all that you guys do to keep us informed! My husband and I can’t go as often as we want so it really helps us plan and get the most out of our trip!
We went last night for the 2nd party. AJ, how did you manage to fit so much in?! We met some ghosts outside Haunted Mansion & had our photo taken. I commented to the lady how beautiful her dress was. She said “Thank you. I died in it”. 😂
i saw "edna mode" and nearly lost my mind in excitement!!!! i was not expecting to see her,plus she waved at me Dahling!!! kids were cute, but lots of adults were on point with their costumes as well. one guy was dressed as waldo from those "where's waldo" books, that took me back. the party was great, lots of dancing, eating, laughing, and just a overall good time, I have zero complaints!!!
I almost have to turn off the video a few minutes in because I feel so nostalgic watching all these videos. Really makes me think about burning through my savings and taking an impromptu vacation to Disney World. Great content as always.
My daughter will be so happy when she sees this post in the morning!! We’re going back to Disneyworld in October, and she’s been meticulously planning for months which has included watching so many of your videos! We got our MNSSHP tickets this morning so I think this will become her favourite post! As a family we love DFB

We went a week ago and had a blast. The Boo to You parade was a lot of fun, and we enjoyed the villains. We watched the fireworks as we exited Thunder Mountain and had a fantastic view. I was surprised at all of the different directions from where they were shot. However, I think I enjoyed the Christmas party better, but this was definitely worth it.
Excellent job as always, AJ! Love MNSSHP, and the parade. They did an awesome job on that Madame Leota tart - cool!! ROTFL @ your description of the Headless Horseman "an actual dude on a horse with no head"., LOVE it! :)

I grew up with Disney every Sunday and loved everything about this Great Show. our World needs a place where Kids can have really good fun and know they're safe and Halloween in Disney's Mind with Donald Duck and Nephews as well as my all-time favourite Movie from Halloween for Disney is Washington Irving's "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow." no one on Earth can ever come close to producing Actual drawings of Cartoons like Disney. I do so miss those days of artists and their Talent!!
DVC members get into the park at 2:00, I read this somewhere and later confirmed it with a DVC specialist. The DVC specialist did not know about this but was able to confirm it.
I'm going in 2019 for my first trip and I can't wait! My best friend and I are huge Hocus Pocus fans, so when we found out about the show, that's when we planned our trip. Do you know if the times of the show and parade will be the same?

I recommend you dine at Poly or somewhere else before you go to the party so you don't use up party time sitting in a restaurant. Be there at 4pm or whenever they let you into the party. Take your hard ticket with you just in case it doesn't link to your magic band correctly.
Vaughn R We have reservations at the Jungle Cruise restaurant for around 4:30 or so. That was our thinking too, we’ll be done with dinner by the time the party starts.
We did the "Not So Scary" event many years ago with our kids - they had Goofy Candy Co. candy instead of what it seems to be now - like anything you buy in a supermarket for Halloween! They also had the allergy options back then too. Other than "free" candy and the parade, there is nothing really special or "extra" about the event - at least not $85 per person worth!! You have to pay for everything else mentioned just as always (the dessert party, fireworks dining, etc.) - I would definitely suggest just enjoying the decorations and food during regular hours and save your money for a character meal instead! Bring your own candy and give it to your kids after they "successfully" ride each ride instead!

I'm always at WDW in October. Last year I made myself promise I wouldn't buy a ticket for MNSSH for this year. Seeing this video gives me valuable information. My new plan is to decide when I arrive and buy a "day off" ticket if I feel like going. If they're sold out that will make me glad I'm not going to be in the crowd.

Our 4th time at Disney but 1st Halloween party - we can't go later in year so we had no choice but to go to launch night, and to be honest the crowds spoilt the experience. Loooong queues for everything - rides, character meets, event specific snacks - first queue for oogie boogie popcorn was massive, next two carts I found both sold out before I got one. Story book treats ran out of lime ice-cream so Malificent dessert was either chocolate or vanilla Also getting in place for fireworks, parade & Hocus Pocus Spelltacular ate up a lot of time. All the party events were well done though so probably much more fun at quieter dates/nights

My son and I were there last night. It was so busy. I don't think i would waste money to do it again. We are from NJ so we only come down once a year so we wanted to try this one time. I didn't even try any special treats because it is so warm that we don't eat much when we are down. Wish I could of meant you.

Was just in Walt Disney World for the party on Friday. It was the best part of our trip. We decided not to go on as many rides as normal and just experience the atmosphere.

Back when I did the Disney Halloween they wore huge mickey gloves and would put mountains in a fancy cloth bag you got.
I can't wait to have my first new born. I want to celebrate in this place as much as I can - Got to save up, though!

we will be there in September, planning on doing the party the first night we get there so we don't have to miss any of the other night time shows during our stay. What the best way to handle the schedule? we want to see the parade the fireworks and the hocus pocus show.
I attended the party in 2016, and it was amazing. I wore a Maleficent costume, and i kept tripping because it dragged but that's besides the point XD

"Characters are going to have long lines" NO KIDDING. I was there a year or two ago, spent 4 hours in line for Jack and Sally, missed most of the party. :T

Was just in Walt Disney World for the party on Friday. It was the best part of our trip. We decided not to go on as many rides as normal and just experience the atmosphere.
