Iron Maiden blew away all my history teachers combined growing up. As a young boy I saw them at the Philadelphia Spectrum open with this song, and they played with Coney Hatch and Fastway. June 18 1983. Aahhhh to be alive in the Golden Age of Metal. :D ( Todays sceneis fucking badass as well)

Been a Maiden fan since I was 6 years old and had never seen them live. Finally this year for my 26th Birthday I flew to California to see them perform in Irvine for their Somewhere Back in Time tour. One of the most memorable experiences in my life. UP THE IRONS!!

seeing iron maiden live in 2010 was one of the most exciting shows i've ever seen. I love how after 20-30 years of doing it, they still put everything they have into their shows. They love what they do clearly.
Bruce Dickinson is one hell of a singer. Ive watched some videos of their earlier concerts (like in the 80s) and it seems almost as is Bruces voice has gotten better live over the years. Its usually the other way around with vocalists, their voices deteriorate with age. Bruce is a true rock god, and one of the best vocalists in the world.
Hard to believe it was 27 years ago I first heard this in my mom's car. Bought the Piece of mind tape after hearing Number of the Beast at my friends house all stoned. Put it in the tape deck on the way home and my mom said "What in the world is that!" while I sat there in awe of the power. Wore that tape out I did. Pre-CD days boys and girls.
