Jisoo Lee if you cant get a scholarship you can always go to a uni in ur country and then do a year abroad. I’m doing that I’m moving to Cardiff university and my second year I’m going abroad to one of S.K.Y with my friends hopefully
@@sulbean8662 What's going on now? It's been almost 1 year ...But I think it's better try to get Korean government scholarship❤ dr...I'm 15 years old and after I finish my high school I'll face to that scholarship😊💕💕💕
@@user-yj5jd9rf6x haha heyy yeah one year! been a while and things have changed drastically over those times. im not as interested in korean universities as much as i was before. i havent been doing my research at all as well. im actually in the process of doing my college apps and im quite sure im going to continue to pursue my education in the states! you are relatively at a young age and your decisions may always change depending on ur status in a couple of years. i say take it easy for now! and wish u the best luck!
Hi, I read down below that you used to live in NZ? Well, I live in NZ and I'm interested in studying there. I was wondering did you go straight to there after high school? Or did you go to uni here for a little bit (if so, where)? Also, how were your grades in high school (NCEA LVL 1,2,3, etc.)?? Cheers.
Was just wondering what the total expenses for studying at Yonsei Uni was, like what are cost for the dorm and entry free per semester. And are you able to study there as an international student for 4 years till you graduate without having to have a Korean visa or to actually "live" in korea?.
I've seen people studying KLI (Korean Language Institute) in both Sinchon and Songdo. In Sinchon, there's SK Global, International House, Muak dormitory and Woojungwon and in Songdo there's just the YIC (Yonsei International Campus) dorms
This is so cool- I am currently considering applying to Yonsei for their Global Leadership Division program that they started this year. I have a few questions :) Do you happen to know anything about this program? Are your classes taught by English native speakers? Do you feel you're receiving a quality education, even compared to what university would be like in the USA or Australia? Thank you in advance!
Sorry I'm in UIC Underwood Division which is different from GLD. In GLD subjects are all taught in Korean I think and you need to learn Korean for that program. UIC is all taught in English though with fluent English speaking professors. The courses are really good! Quite a heavy workload compared to Auckland University (in New Zealand) but yeah definitely "quality education".
did you stay in the SK Global House? i didn't realise international students could stay there lmao i thought we had to stay in the international house hahahah the SK Global House looks way more appealing simply from the private bathroom lmao
Ok,sooo if i temporary move to Korea and am just curious about studying program and university life could i like talk to the principal or something and ask him if i can stay week or two (month if possible) in the dorm and attend classes and everything(just as normal student) but not study, write or get grades?Mainly what i'm trying to say is will they let me stay there and basically not do anything and just follow classes, listen as they talk and stuff without interference? Is it possible??
Quick Question for those who are older and have a child and a single parent are their dorm rooms fit for that or do most students who are parents live off campus?
Enjoyed the video very much! You should do more videos about Yonsei :) Btw, what are you studying there? Are you in the UIC or the University Korean Program?
Do you happen to know anything about the University Korean Program? I'm interested in doing it, but it's pretty new so I couldn't find any opinions on the internet about it..
It depends on which campus you choose to go. If you are going for UIC(Underwood International Campus), all your classes will be in English. However, if you are in a regular Yonsei Uni (in my case), you might have to take few classes in Korean. Again it depends on your major too. For me, as I'm doing Mech Engineering, I have like one class in Korean each semester. But again exams and books are in english, so it doesn't really matter. So far I know, Yonsei has more English classes than any other university in Korea except KAIST. Hope this helps.
Wait dude, you sound like a beast. What's your story for going to Yonsei Uni? Are you undergrad? Are you international or maybe expat Korean, did you apply right out of high school etc?
haha... I'm an international undergraduate here. Yes, i did apply right after high school. however, I learned Korean language for a year (here in Korea). So basically, after my highschool I applied to Yonsei, got in here, I came to korea, studied language for a year and now I'm doing my undergrad degree. thats how it worked for me.
enigmatic suman hi im an international student and also want to apply to transfer to UIC/Yonsei ;;; I would want to know more infos but dont know any alumni may I contact you privately and ask you for some advice/exp? thank you so much in advance!! ;;;;;
joe lang Hi Joe, UIC is an international college under Yonsei. In UIC all courses are conducted in English, whilst Yonsei University courses are conducted in Korean. Hope that helps :)
When you came to Yonsei, what did university did you come from? Was it like a study abroad or exchange thing? What where the requirements? When you went to Korean did you go by yourself or with your parents? Was it scary? Sorry for all the questions, yhank you for sharing you experience ^-^
+Paola Quevedo I started as a freshman at Yonsei. I just needed my middle school and high school grades, graduation certificate, personal statement and recommendation letter. I came by myself and no it wasn't scary at all, although it probably would be if i wasn't living in a dorm!
Hi! I am intending to apply to Yonsei in a few years time...I saw one of the comments and you mentioned that you were in the UIC. I read up about it however I am still very lost. in UIC, what are you offered (majors, etc)?
+Cameron Lisarelle uic.yonsei.ac.kr this website should be helpful! It tells you which majors are offered. UIC is part of Yonsei University but all courses are conducted in English and the majors that are offered are a little different.
Julie Joo Aw man now im super jealous! How do they treat foreigners over there? (obviously you might have a different experience from me but we both speak english haha)
Well there are many students but most are from overseas and can speak English fluently. Especially since our department, UIC, is all in English. We don't get the chance to interact with non-UIC Yonsei students because we take different classes but if you join clubs, you'll be able to meet them :)

I just wanna ask if you can major Human Resource Developmental Management with Business Administration in Yonsei University. Im just so confused since the structure of the academic informations is different here in the Philippines. Really hope for an answer. Thank you!
How long did it take you to become fluent enough in korean for university? and I heard some comments saying that a lot of the classes are taught in english, would i be able to enroll and do a full 4 year undergraduate degree there if i can't speak korean?
oh I see;; thank you!! just two more questions, did you submit the original documents or could you just photocopy them & then get them apostille approved? and do you have to do christianity-related classes? thank you so much for answering!! :)
I photocopied my graduation certificate/ grades and then got them signed/stamped by each school (primary, intermediate, high school) and then took them and got them apostille approved. Yes, you do. If you're at Underwood International College, you have to take an Understand Christianity course and sit in Chapel each week. They're alg :)
In case of grad school, you don't need Korean proficiency for most of the departments. but its best to consult your particular department once. I know a lot of people in engineering department, doing their masters without learning Korean language.

That what I wanted to ask like How much it cost all of this I'm really interested in studying there it would be great if someone could tell us ,
Fati B It’s for W8.74 Million. Which is about 7,745 Dollars, if I remember.
Wow! schools in korea are the best!👍👍
That dorm room looks great but that yonsei jacket is fucking amazing, can you purchase that on the campus?
If I study Korean at Yonsei, what campus (Songdo or Sinchon) would i be located at? Also, what dorms do they have at each of the campuses? Thank you

this is a nice video :) you should make more videos about yonsei :0
Thanks for posting this! I'm studying there next spring, so its nice to see what the dorms look like beforehand!
