At some universities, a paralegal course is completed within 3 years, is it any different from the course you did for one year?

So with that it depends on what the university is offering in terms of scope of work as well as the qualification level, most one year courses are for a certification qualification and most 3 year courses are for a diploma qualification 😄
The one I did was for a Certification qualification with the South African school of law, but I had the intention of doing my LLB immediately after

Heyy shazz, ive complete my paralegal diploma at UJ wabo nou im doing the llb here at unisa. I hear that there wont b exams for the FAC1503 (accounting) module just gang assignments like 7 i think, is that true. I dont know if u still remember when u did your 1st year llb unisa??

So I’m not too sure what the latest announcements will be with regards to the exams and I remember writing the exam for FAC1503 in first year. But if they will be doing assignments that makes it easier.

Yes absolutely you can, you don’t need to specifically be a Paralegal to do Paralegal work especially if you are already studying towards an LLB 😁

Yes, You may apply for legal secretary or paralegal positions with a law Diploma and you can then do essentially the same work as a Paralegal or legal secretary

The salary levels of a Paralegal in South Africa can vary depending on a number of factors, including the industry, level of experience, location, and size of the organization.
Ideally, Entry-level Paralegal salary can range from around R80,000 to R180,000 per year. Which translates to between 6700 and 15 000 so I took the average and used that as a start
