I have both horizontal and vertical leftover slats, wide. Have used the horizontal for drawer separators. I guess I could use a Dremel to carve. I have been wanting to make some Garden stakes for friends. I guess some of the metal mini blind slats might be good Garden stakes, too, for seed starting (with a sharpie).

You gave me a great idea using the rigid pvc slats...that are the wood simulated that are white pvc that have a color layer...looks great when you engrave it with the white coming out.....great for tons of things...limitless going to keep an eye out on trash days lol

Awesome, one thing I learned is that even at .06 DOC is too deep. It is not necessary. Also, use the upcut bit. The downcut bit was a little experiment. I like the upcut better on the PVC.

I’ve been super interested in a CNC Router for quite some time. May I ask which make and model you have? Also, what software do you use? Thanks! -Allen

This CNC is the XCarve 1000mm from Inventables. The software that I use is Easel which is a free software from Inventables. I also use VCarve Desktop from Vectrics.

Thanks. They are about 20 years old. The slats today are thinner.
